I'm thinking about cosplaying Bleach for the first time at ACen. I haven't seen many episodes yet, but a few friends of mine are talking me into cosplaying it. I would love to cosplay Ishida, but I don't know what costume I should do of his. Any suggestions of what version I should do?

I'm making my friend a Rukia (academy) outfit, not the real world school outfit.
She's hoping any guy is considering doing Renji (academy) outfit as well.
She'll be debuting this outfit at Ohayocon, unless I can't get it done on time. Otherwise the outfit will detinaletly be done for Acen!!!!

I am going as a member of the 4th squad. Nobody in particular, but I will be armed with a broom (yes, I am that guy from Ohayocon).

If you cannot decide what squad/character you want to cosplay in, try 4th squad. I really want to increase our numbers this year. All you need is a standard Shinigami uniform (get one from ebay if you cannot sew a hakama), green strap+bag (very easy to sew!), and a broom.

Well, I can't really say much on that subject, since I know how it feels to be cosplaying one of the 'overly-cosplayed-characters', but it is true that awesome characters, such as Ukitake in this case, get cosplayed so rarely! I thought I'd be a rare cosplayer by doing Hitsugaya, but it seems like he's gained a heck of alot of popularity...but oh well ^^; I'm just going to wear it anyways~

Well as it looks like I'll be shaving off my goatee for other cosplays again (alas poor facial hair...) I'm thinking I'll have to finish my school version of Ikkaku. Time to start planning on how to pack my bokutō. :)

Thanks, I've wanted to do Ikkaku for awhile, but money and other cosplays taking up that money first have prevented me... But I've managed to pull together the Karakura Highschool version from stuff I had around from other cosplays... Yay for free cosplays! :bigtu:

Now to get the regular Soul Society version done one day before my friends rope me into being Yama-ji. :p

Yeah, I've had to wait to be Hitsugaya because of money issues~ But I finally got the budget and I'm so happy I'll finally get to do it XD

Just need to finish reassembling the fixed Tensa Zangetsu (Remade the guard that survived the whole weekend, even though it snapped four times, and died completely on the last day of Youmacon '06) and hopefully get the hollow mask remake done this coming weekend. The plan is to do use a mixture of wire, masquerade type plastic mask thingy and clay and paint. Let ssee how it turns out...XD

Well the project for this weekend, to finish the hollow mask. I managed to find some interesting clay material that air hardens and actually kinda looks like unpolished porcelin or bone which sould make it look really good. Tensa Zangetsu has been reassembled, so he's ready to roll...XD
I should probaly start throwing crap into my suitcase too...XD

I can't freakin' wait~! I think pretty much the only setback I have for Hitsugaya is I have no sheathe for my zanpakuto, but then again it's going to be out for all my pictures, so I guess I don't care XD I'm getting so pumped for ACen! @_@

Hey, does cosplay accuracy truely matter here. I mean i'm pretty acurate about my cosplays but there is one slight stipulation about my captains overcoat, i forgot to put in the circles so it's purely diamonds, should i fret about it and try and fit the circles in or just call it good enough.

If you're talking about the garden area with the fountain is, that area is too small for your group size. There's always the space on the other side of the restaraunt where Final Fantasy meets, inside the con center or even in the parking lot just on the other side of the garden.

If I don't get a response by 3 pm CDT today..I'll have to put you guys down as in the con center.

Ummm..I think there might be a slight problem with the 7PM Friday shoot. It's the same time as the HIGH and MIGHTY Color concert. Is this going to pose a problem because I'm thinking a lot of Bleach fans would want to go to that, since they did one of the themes and all.

Unless those with tickets want to do an invasion of shorts on the concert. :thumbsup:

9 pm? Not to say I won't be up at that time of night, but that's going to eliminate alot of lighting for pictures of costumes.
