The lace appliques I was planning on using for the lace on Lulu's dress has been sold out and no longer orderable. It wasn't the perfect lace but it was pretty and I liked it. Does anyone know of a good subsitute? Help!

umm... i embroidered mine.. but i've heard other people would use actual lace and cut out flowers and what not to make the right design... or close to it. ^_^

Yawp :D On mine I bought a bunch of lace, cut out the flowers n twirlies n such that I thought looked right, placed the basic pattern of hers and glued em down. On the train tho you might wanna lightly stitch em in place cuz if somebody steps on the skirt it might come off.

Some people have also painted them on with fabric paint as well ^.^ Thats always an option.

My friend got a bridal lace from a local silk emporium and it looked fab! I would try that, but you also have to take into account that it can be expensive!

I also used multiple types of lace and hand-sewed them down after hand-painting them. This is a very lengthy process, just to let you know ^^;...

Lady Somairot: That seems more difficult than just buying the lace and stitching it on.

angelicstar: Your method sounds creative and challenging. I'm think I'm up for it.

I seriously tried to delete this topic once I saw that there was a FF forum, but it didn't let me. What gives?

Yeah!! I forgot to mention dyeing em!! It looks gorgeous dyed!! XD *laughs* Since I cut out the pieces I needed I just mixed up diluted fabric paint and dipped em in, lightly patted them dry with a towel before arraging em. I kinda like Yaya's way better tho cuz mine cost a small fortune with cutting out the pieces I wanted...ended up using more that way >.<;; *rollz off to her corner cuz its freezing ass cold in her leaky farmhouse*

hai I used the same lace method as Yaya for my Lulu v2.0, :) except I'm painting them now after I've sewn them on since I can see the pattern as a whole and gauge color schemes I might like.... though its up to u whether u want to use ur own color scheme, the colors from nomura's artwork or the greyish pastels from in game ^_^

I'm going for a "gold tone" Lulu. So it'll be mostly muted golds. I don't want to do an exact replica. I want it to be different and to standout. But I did like the lace they had for Lulu's character design.

Edit: Who is Yaya?

Alaria, your Lulu is absolutely amazing. Aside from the immaculate replica of the outfit itself, you even got your hair done like hers.. that's so much dedication *_*!
My jaw literally dropped when I saw pictures of you from AX and I'm so glad you're on here to share your thoughts.
