Pattern Help for Devil Summoner and Persona 3 Cosplay

I'm still very, very, VERY new to actually doing cosplay...and I've been in love with Shin Megami Tensei Series and it's spin-offs forever--but the patterns seem to escape me, and these two/three are espeacially giving me some trouble:

It's pretty obvious that the jackets are different, my friend pointed out that the girl's was more like and over-shirt while the boy's was more like a blazer--still, I'd like to get your take on it all, my fellow cosplayers--any help would be greatly, deeply appreciated!

p.s: SOrry had very few refrerence pics on Persona 3, but the game has yet to be released overseas...:bigcry:

As for the blazers(?), they look to me like a double breasted coat with a zipper instead of buttons. Unfortunately I can't find any patterns that are double breasted with the lapels. :(

It's alright about the blazers, I'm considering giving in and forgoing comissioning an Americna McGee's Alice A-zone and just ordering an official one from COSPA...shipping's going to be tough....*twitters nervously*

I really enjoy seeing Shin Megami Tensei cosplayers! ^_^
I have yet to really find any others out here though, so hopefully I'll run into one at A-kon...the costumes are always so complicated (some of what I've seen anyway) makes me wish I was a boy so I could go as the protagonist of the third game...if only they made fake man-chests for cosplay...
