I just saw the end of her new video, and I was sort of wondering if anyone would ever cosplay her like that (I'm thinking J-rock cosplay-like). She had some interesting outfits and some great makeup.

Personally, I like her white gown the most (second and last pictures).

I wouldn't cosplay her.. I haven't put down the idea of making the costumes of American pop music stars, though. But they're secret. <3

I like the outfit actually...It would be an interesting project to take on...I just wouldn't wear it to a con. There are a LOT of haters out there that would be after you... it's a lovely costume though!

Heh, the costume I wanna do from an American music video, I'd wear to a scifi/comic con.. because even though it isn't that, it's cultural, and would work at one.

Like Jrock at anime cons. @_@

Hmm.. her face is too cute for those costumes. :P

But I can respect this one. :P

I saw that on MTV. The costumes are gorgeous, but the song really doesn't go with the elegance of the video. I think the style should be reserved to someone with the style of... Enigma perhaps.

I only saw the little sneak peak of the video on TRL the other day or something...and the costumes looked mighty slick. It's a shame so many people would try to give you attitude for wearing it.

Actually, I just saw the video yesterday and was thinking the exact same thing, lol!

It's a great video and I see a lot of inspiration from Kiriya Kazuaki and Mark Romanek (director of NIN's "Closer"). The costumes are gorgeous and I think it translates well to the song's meaning.

I'm willing to bet that many cosplayers and gothic kids will take inspiration from the designs and imagery in this video. Kudos to Christina for taking a chance with this image. ^_^ I wouldn't mind making a costume from this video for a costume masquerade event.

Same thought here. It's nice to see a video that actually makes you think, instead of get... hot. ^-^;;

tenjou, your siggie quote ... you should cosplay a female version of eric draven. now THERE'S a worthwhile "other costumes" character.

Wow, lots of replies! ^^ I hope to see the video again -- that way I can possibly tape it and get a better look at her outfits.

MordSith~ That would be cool. *_* Maybe for next year's Halloween; I have a Fire Faerie costume planned for this year's. =D

feeling really stupid right now... but... what on earth is going on in her video? For some reason I'm just not getting it... :: sigh ::

She's so talented! She's also done video's for David Bowie and Marylin Manson :) She's Canadian too^_^
I'm not a fan of Christina but I really like that music video^0^ I like the outfit she wears in the first part of the vid *0*

Fuck--I really want to see that video. ;.; Seems I keep missing it (and I want to see the whole video *wink* *wink* *steps away from TRL*).

As for cosplaying it, I think....no. XD Like Michi said. Just because the way I see it anime cons are reserved for embracing japanese culture (J-pop, J-rock included). But that's not to say that there aren't other cons that costumes like that would be way more appropriate for. ^_^ And HuongStar's right, a lot of inspiration can be derived from those costumes as well.

MTV may have the "making of" special on it sometime. I checked the website for a listing, but it's not on this week. ^^; It'll probably be on again.

*blush* i actually SAW the making of when it premiered the other week....

it's really cool, actually... the whole butterfly/moth thing going on ...being pinned down, caged, coccoon, breaking free, growing up, etc. and WOW the costumes are so amazing!

but anyway, i just wanted to post that, in reference to the white dress comments,... those were REAL LIVE MOTHS on her dress and in her hair. and i'm pretty sure they bit her or something... cos i vaguely remember her saying something about them having weird tongues or something. o_O

but anyway, awesome video. it's nice to see people actually making videos worth watching. so, kudos for that.

Um it's pretty much the same as the madonna "frozen " video.. Of course it's the same crew so what do you expect. It would be a perfect costume for a masquerade ball or costume party. I'de love to see it at a con as well.
