I saw the pic and immediately thought of Aladdin.
I found this (http://forums.cosplay.com/showthread.php?p=849478&highlight=aladdin#post849478) and this (http://forums.cosplay.com/showthread.php?p=849476&highlight=aladdin#post849476) in the Kingdom Hearts Cosplay thread.

edit: McCall's Pattern 2814 (http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M2814.htm) or something similar might work, though you'd need to shorten the pants length or add poofiness.

Thanks! I'm not a fan of 'Stuffing pants' though. A pattern that makes the pants automatically poofy will work best, since the con will get hot. Thanks, though!!

One thread mentioned FolkWear (http://www.folkwear.com/) brand sewing patterns. Pattern 144 (http://www.folkwear.com/144.html) has pantaloons that have a natural poof. There may be others out there.

I recommend that pants pattern, I used it for my Shippo pants and while I did have to add a bit of a fabric to get them as poofy as I wanted them, it worked great. You would have to shorten them and change the waistband a bit, but there's no stuffing involved. ^^

Here's the pants I made with that pattern ^^

Ah, thank you so much, Killabeeswarm and Animeisha! That helps alot!

Now to think of what fabric to use. ^^

I would think something lightweight. Muslin? It wrinkles terribly though. Some sort of cotton would be best.

Would twill work good? I want a fabric that will retain the pants poofyness.

I wish I could help, but I have no clue how to choose fabric...

...costume book? where can I get this costume book?

Also, I'm making poofity pants for my shishi cosplay, basically they're slightly oversized pajama/sweat pants that have a velcro strip at the bottom. I velcro it around my calf and they poofity around it. :3 Fairly simple and the velcro sticks and is easilly adjustible (elastics tighten as much as they can and with squishy parts like calves, circulation would be cut off)

I bought the costume book for $37 at the Ohayocon. It was the last one there. You can get if offa ebay I believe for around the same price. Anywhere else, they charge alot more.

Oh! Show me photos when your done!
