Greetings!
Well, I guess you've often talked about wigs in this forum, but since I'm new and I really need help on a specific wig style, let's talk again ^_^U

I'm cosplaying Lyserg Diethel from Shaman King.

You can see more pictures of him here:

I have a long straight wig that has the perfect color. I bought it for another costume but I don't know if I'll ever finish/wear it, so I thought I could cut and style the wig and use it for my Lyserg costume.

Now, I can't style a wig to save my life, and I have had very bad experiences with this subject (I tried to curl a wig with absolutely null results, I messed another wig while trying to get officer Junsa's style...); I hate wigs and I try to avoid them whenever possible, but since Lyserg has short hair and a weird hair color, I think I have no choice ^_^U

Do you wig experts think there's a way to get the exact style and how could I do it? And above all, what should I use? Because hair gel and spray didn't seem to work the other times I tried to style my wigs v_v Most of my wigs usually look horrible and spoil the whole costume, but I don't want this to happen with my Lyserg costume. I want it to be perfect! ^_^

Any help will be more than welcome! Thank you so much!!

You could try hair glue, or mixing hair spray and paper glue, and while that stuff is okay in human hair, I'm not sure if it'll wash safely out of synthetic hair.

...Lyserg? :D They have light green, too. (Rock on for wanting to cosplay him. I love Shaman King. ^_^)

Yes, styling glue would work well for that style, and it does wash out of sythetic hair with water and mild soap. (Use REAL hair glue, don't mix Elmer's and hairspray, it doesn't produce the same results.)

If you dont mind me asking, where can you find real hair glue?

Wig shops. I know I found some by searching Google for "wig supplies" recently, but I can't recall off the top of my head the name of the shops I turned up.

Otherwise known as "styling glue". I get mine at Regis, but it's available at most salons. I use the Paul Mitchell brand myself, coz it smells nifty. ^_^

One bottle (or tub) will last you a loooooong time.
