Any thoughts or tips on how to maybe do Suzaku's knight of zero battle outfit? i havn't seen any online yet for commision or anywhere, still deciding between that and knight of rounds. also i noticed his outside pics and his in albion pic, outfit looks same except the front of his outfit is different when he's in cockpit, star on front instead of that red ruby but the rest of outfit looks same.

They have it in on Yahoo Japan for super high price. ^^;;;

I'm making it for Ohayo Con, with my friend who is doing Emperor! Lelouch. My best suggestion: draw the costume out in pieces to see how it is possible to actually fit together. I've been doing alot of drawing now before pattern making and by far it's helped me with several of my last cosplays. Though, the only thing I've gotten done on the costume is buying some of the materials. I still have to buy a few more before I even attempt it. '

I also have a question though. I am using white pleather for the piece in front. For the gold trim, should I search for gold pleather to make the trim out of or paint it?

I'm planning on doing Cornelia's white costume in May

http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c34/ani_bee/cosplay/Minitokyo350399.jpg

But I have a question for the Cornelia cosplayer about how to do the "feathers" on the top of the cape.
Basically what to use to keep them gravity defying, wire (usually dose not work well with just fabric)
can only go so far so I was thinking Fosshape?

Also I've never done any sort of appliqué on fabric before. I would paint it but fabric paint can be tricky for cleaning (I love jacquard's (http://www.jacquardproducts.com/products/paints/lumiere/) though)
So since gold trim/fabric is the most common elements on all the uniforms how do you get it to look so clean in the lines.
Basically do you sew it with interfacing and I can't see a stitch line anywhere on some of the costume, is that because
you us gold tread or have some how managed to sew it on from the inside?

This top is going to be all sort of crazy, maybe adding interfacing where it's open at the cheat will give it some stiffness? I think I'm going to have to cheat the seamless glove or get a body suit lol

Let me know if you find any, as I will need a ton of it for Emperor Lelouch.

So I've finally gotten around to making some of the patterns I'll need for the costume. The coat is ready to be made and I think I might actually have the hat just right this time... maybe...

Until I get ahold of a good base material though I can't actually start sewing. It shouldn't be this hard to find white fabric. Jo-Ann Fabric has tons of whites, but they're all either thinner than t-shirt material or have very noticable textures. Can anyone recommend me a fabirc that is thick enough to not see your skin through but smooth without a shine?

Alatar: Depends on how stretchy it needs to be.

Cotton interlock is pretty awesome; it's smooth and has a thick, t-shirt-like feel to it. It's also a wee bit stretchy.

JoAnn's 2 (http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat2958&PRODID=xprd768892)
Hancock's (http://www.hancockfabrics.com/Cotton-Interlock-White-Fabric-Front-Page_stcVVproductId49133393VVcatId537258VVviewprod .htm)

Poly gabardine suiting is another good one; this one isn't stretchy, and the texture has some rib-like qualities to it, but it's still smooth, and the fabric is good and thick.
JoAnn's (http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat2958&PRODID=prd32696)
Hancock's (http://www.hancockfabrics.com/Polyester-Rayon-Gabardine-White-Fabric-Front-Page_stcVVproductId49133416VVcatId537258VVviewprod .htm)

Queensland crepe is also a good one. It's the thinnest of the three, and depending on the quality, the texture ranges from smooth to slightly bumpy. It's not stretchy.

Ryoko and Yami: Depends on if you want to make the dress whole, or in separate pieces like I did.

The patterns I based my dress design and structure off of were Simplicity 4070 (http://www.simplicity.com/dv1_v4.cfm?design=4070) and McCall's 4090 (http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M4090.htm?search=4090&page=1). For my petticoat, I use a bridal petticoat/hoopskirt. Those things give you AMAZING volume. As far as fabric goes, I used Casa satin from JoAnn's in Lavendar and either Butter or Cream. (If JoAnn's site would load faster, I'd be able to tell you specifically. DX)

Honestly, if you don't want to/can't make it and you can't find one you like online, you could commission me to make one. *shrugs*

Ah, excuse me! My friend and I are kinda newbies to cosplay, and we're more or less gonna want to do the same costume, so... can we get a little advice?

She and I want to do Knights of the Round uniform Gino and Suzaku, but since we're both new, we're not sure where to start. Can anyone give any tips? What kind of fabric, where to start on a pattern and what not? Or is it best to just commission someone for the uniforms since we're new? ^^; I'm sorry for being such a newbie, but we just don't know where to start, so I figured to ask here.

Also, I really want to pull off Suzaku, but my hair is long and I really want to avoid cutting it (My hair's perfect for another cosplay I have in mind), but I'm not sure if there's a fairly inexpensive wig that'd work for him or not, and I'm not completely sure where to look aside from this site's wig store.

Thanks so much in advance~

I don't think they're any particular type of pistol (The first Geass character booklet that came with the DVD has a small section on the Britannian guns, and all they list that one as is 'Modern Military') but it bares a close resemblance to the MK23 Socom with the flashlight/laser sight attachment.

It is. >>;; There was a huge discussion on the Code Geass comm at one point and if you remember, anime likes to use alot of tints and colors in their hair which sometimes makes it appear to be different. You have to remember and look at the main color of his hair. And if you are even unsure about the color and have a program such as Photoshop, take your eye dropper to an official image.

I personally think that it may not be 100% black, it's really more of an offblack in most colorings(almost brown in some), however I think a pure black wig looks best. But you wouldn't be wrong exactly going with a 1B or 2 if the pure black looks bad with your skintone.

I'm currently starting to draw patterns of the main costume my self. I don't have plans for the cape, just because of the unrealistic idea of it. Plus, capes are not fun x.x; My best bet, maybe put a weight in front of the cape that would drape over your shoulder and put one on both shoulders?

you can try vogue pattern. They got some weird shoulder cut one that actually work for both C.C. and Euphie. I use vogueone too, but my friend borrow my pattern, so sorry that I dont remember what number... For the fabric you can use satin, though not the one that is super shiny. I have a question, for Euphie CLAMP art ballgown, is there ANY way to do the top part of the corset (the boob part) of the dress WITHOUT darts or seams? I don't think it's physically possible, but I'm just wondering. You could try making it into a two separate pieces (top and skirt) to sew lessen darts...but in any case, I don't think it's possible to get rid of seams completely~

You answered the question yourself at the end. CLAMP are artists, not fashion designers. When I first started cosplaying I had the same discussion with my mom, who is a seamstress. She basically had to pound the idea into my head that you need to put in darts and seams and such to make it the shape you want, and an artist is not going to put those in.

If anyone gives you crap about it, they obviously don't know anything about sewing. Good luck!

I JUST noticed that the dress I am wearing has the EXACT shape for the boob part of Euphemias ballgown...WITHOUT DARTS! The catch is, it's gathered slightly under the boobs (where it meets the bottom part of the dress). I suppose I could use this method..the gathering is very slight and there would be a trim piece over that seam anyways. The only question would now be, how to hold it up. Cause I couldn't put interfacing in it if I needed to gather it, but without interfacing I don't know how it would stand up. >_<

I'm making some tangible progress on my Emperor Lelouch costume. The first 2 layers of clothes have been sewn into their basic shape, though alterations must still be made. I'll make the capes later because I want to sew the designs into them before they're all put together. Hopefully the gold pleather I'm waiting on will come soon. Thanks to the digital camera I got for Christmas I can finally start posting progress shots.

If you can construct the bodice of the dress like an under-the-boob corset (I can't remember what they're actually called, sorry), then that should help.

Alatar: That is looking awesome so far! :D

I was gonna use boning UNDER the boobs anyways, but I dunno if that will 'hold up' the dress. I Plan on wearing one of those shaper thingys under the dress with the built in bra to hold everything in place but I still need to keep the fabric from sliding down over muh boobs. For the boning, I planned on making a long casing that is going to get sewn in the seam under the boobs and go AROUND the shoulders (though the casing part around the shoulders wont have boning, it will just be fabric, and maybe some rope/foam/or another roll of fabric inside it so that it's pliable but still poofs out). It's really hard to explain this on the internets. >_<

The original is very much a neon pink colour, and the new one is a colour I've only EVER seen in one CLAMP illustration (the solo shot with the white flower petals). It looks far too dark. I'd go with a rose pink - something inbetween the two.

Here are some wigs I've seen that might make good base wigs:

Maybe use Hollywood Fashion Tape? It's a double sided tape that is used to keep your clothing on you.. I've used it to keep a few costumes attached to me - especially i n the chest area - and it works really well and doesn't damage anything.

I've never heard of it, but I'll check into it, sounds nifty. Thanks!

I'm going to have to remake my Euphemia wig before I bring the costume out in public again, so I need a general opinion on coloration. This is the color of the old wig. (http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1796512/) I like it a lot, but it's not the right color. I would have to tint it a bit darker to be accurate. I think this is a bit closer to the color, but I've gotten mixed reactions when I've asked about it. (http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=138928) (Scroll down to the end of the first post in the thread.) I've seen several Euphie cosplayers use this, however. What do you guys think? Improve my old color, or go with the standard?

If you check out the "Cosworx wigs in Action" thread and look in the cosworx exclusive wigs in 'dark pink' you can it's actually not that deep like the sample pic in the link you posted. I honestly prefer this pink for Euphemia and I've seen alot of other cosplayers use it. I also plan on using the cosworx, dark pink wigs and extension for whenever I get around to making Euphemia.

I think her hair is dark enough for a dark pink wig, it doesn't seem to fall in the baby pink color like Sakura from Naruto and such. I have a dark pink wig, that my sister hijacked for her Euphie costume, and it looked really nice. I also just personally adore the color of it [I had bought it for my Lacus costume, which fits even less with the color xD] and found it photographs beautifully too especially since its often a little more matte.

Okay, i'm at a loss.. So crying out to all you awesome C.C-cosplayers:

HOW IN THE WORLD do you get in that white jump-suit from first season?

As far as I can see, it must be something with the left 'zipper' going up under the black thingie on her left shoulder, and then you open the suit with the zipper in left side?

(Sorry if this is n00bish question)

Her left or your left?

Thanks for the help guys :D Very much appreciated, think I know how to do it now. I think I will make the two front black lines with long thin zippers (Or maybe some itty-bitty snaps hidden under lines of black satin) It will be a bit tricky to get the suit on, but hey, it is SO worth it ::toothy:

I'm looking into making Marianne's blue dress, but I can't find a full picture of her standing in it.
ref picture: http://www.geocities.com/janus_97006/marianne.jpg

Because this is currently all I have to work with, I'm having trouble figuring out how the skirt is made and how poofy the skirt is. And this will be the first time I'll be making anything like this.
I'm guessing this petticoat at ebay would work for it though its likely the wrong fullness.

I'm also wondering how this affects mobility as I may wear this to a masquerade dance as well.

Also, does anyone have any suggestions on what patterns and fabric I should look at as well?

Assuming you have the money, I'd highly suggest gold pleather. It doesn't have a weave direction you need to pay attention to so you can just cut out the shapes you want and sew them on. Straight pieces can be bent around shallow corners, but the stretchyness also makes it a bit hard to work with. If you take this route, I suggest putting double-sided tape under it to hold it still while sewing or put stitch-and-tear over it while you sew.

So far it has served me really well on my emperor lelouch costume. Here's a link to a progress shot:

I'm thinking of making a C.C. costume featured in CLAMP's Mutuality artbook. It's an interesting design. :3

Oh! I just remembered. Update for himawari1412: There are two character design pages for Suzaku's Knight of Zero costume in the Mutuality artbook.

http://community.livejournal.com/kitto_daijoubu/2903.html
Preview here; download link for high-resolution versions is at the top of the page. The design may have been changed for the anime, so that would be something to take note of, but you may find the CLAMP design to be interesting. :)

Here's the rest of the scans for people interested.

From the looks of the colour image (http://img165.imageshack.us/my.php?image=nyargh2qa7ng9.png), I think her hoop thing has white drapes hanging from it, and the rest of the dress is black. The uncoloured design (http://img229.imageshack.us/my.php?image=kdpg70od4.jpg) is a little strange; it looks like her sides would be bare, but the coloured image changed it to leave out that part. How would you do it?

I'm not sure how those side pieces would stay up either, but they seem to hang down in the uncoloured version, so I think it would be okay to leave them hanging out a bit.

MegumiHime: She has a casual outfit she wears in the episode about Refrain from the first season, and you missed her initial terrorist getup from before the Black Knights got uniforms. There's also a dress she wears in the wedding image, and several casual outfits from art-only images.

Angathol: bare? what do you mean?

doragon
01-06-2009, 08:24 PM
I thought C.C's dress was black in that piece of art, judging from her collar and two areas that you can see from behind Suzaku that don't look to be part of his own outfit - like near her chest and what could be her knee. Though, that's what I was personally going to do when I made that outfit myself.
The seam where I think Angathol is thinking is bare, where the hoops are [which really goes down into the splits of her dress] - was what was confusing me more since sometimes that line would suggest a different color. But, perhaps since it is just a character sketch we can really do whatever we want? *shrug*
For the hoops I was considering making them really freakin' stiff to keep the shape .. and maybe like clear fishing line/clear thread to keep them up. Damn gravity and having to defy it often...

Angathol: bare? what do you mean?

Apologies in advance for the poor MS Paint colouring job, but this is how I interpreted it at first. (http://img511.imageshack.us/my.php?image=cccoloureo9.jpg) The parts left at her sides that aren't black would be bare skin, in this version. From the way they showed it in the various viewpoints of the design, I assumed that's how it would be, since it looks like the bottom point of the triangle of fabric in the front view is holding up the bottom parts. It does seem a little odd (and kind of skanky) now that I think about it, but that was the way I initially thought it would be before realizing how they coloured it in the artwork.

ycysusan2001

Angathol, doragon: It cannot be bare skin. Cause if you looks at the back of the dress... it wont make scene if the side is bare. I think the line just show how the dress was sew.

I come bearing relevant Geass trivia.
http://community.livejournal.com/code_geass/1217546.html

Number of eyes on Lelouch and Suzaku's final outfits:
- Lelouch's emperor outfit, including the cape and hat, has a total of 12 eye-jewel things.
- Suzaku's Knight of Zero outfit, including gloves, has a total of 17 eye-jewel things, so Suzaku wins...
- However, if you add the eye-jewels (6) on Lelouch's fugly sword, Lelouch has a grand total of 18 eye-jewels, so he wins after all (?).

There's also a picture of Suzaku in his Knight of Zero, with the hood up! I think this counts as official; it's from the character designer, Kimura.

Mmkay, so I'm having fabric/pattern questions regarding C.C's "Empress outfit" that Clamp has in their artbook. Now realizing that it is basically a jump/cat suit with a skirt added at the bust I'm trying to figure out the best way to go around it since it seems tight ... and I really don't want to go with like a spandex since I think it would look unappealing. I was thinking of going with my trusty cotton/poplin that I use a lot for costumes, it has a nice surface but I'm wondering if its too plain. A Casa satin and done on the bias so it stretches?
Any suggestions? What do people use for C.C's flight suit or her white strappy first outfit? [and pattern for that matter xD JoAnns has Simplicity on sale for 99 cents this weekend so I want to jump on the chance to get some ~]

ycysusan2001

doragon: I use vinyl for mine season 1 jumpsuit. Though I think C.C.'s "Queen?" outfit can use something softer. Its a dress after all.

doragon
01-16-2009, 02:20 AM
ycysusan, that makes sense. I've seen a variety of fabrics used for that costume so I thought I'd ask to see how people dealt with them and if they were comfortable - I don't make a lot of tight things so I'd like to get some input and opinions and the like. [Vinyl had crossed my mind at one point at work today though - I work at JoAnns so I was staring at the fabrics all day and walking around seeing what we had - but had the same thought that that would so not be the right choice in fabrics... her dress should be elegant and the texture in the picture looks rather matte and simple.... but I didn't want to go too simple.]

ycysusan2001

doragon: I think wedding use satin will work fine. Its thick enough to make a jumpsuit and its somehow flowy too

Here's a link to a progress shot:
http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w306/Alatar02/lelouchprogress2.jpg

Wooooahhhhh! Your progress looks great! What material are you using for the white part? (twill, pleather, ?) And you found gold pleather, which I have yet to search for but I found some on ebay (for $7.99 a yard + $5 s/h x_x)

Did you just sew on all the gold parts? (including the line design on the bottom part of the robe) Also can you give some insight on making that hat? xD

Did you make the pattern for the entire robe + Shirt? Or could you link me to patterns you did use (plz!)

I made mine from thin stretch vinyl~ I gave up trying to find a suitable ready-made one that is long enough and decided it's so much less time consuming to just sew them~

Hello, I've been planning/trying to start my C.C r2 (black)default dress but I have no idea where to begin! ^-^; If anyone has any tips at all would be great, like regarding fabrics, what people used for the symbol on her dress, for the belts/straps & buckles, every little tip would be appreciated! Also I was wondering if anyone knows of any patterns that look similiar to C.C's dress that I could go from? Please let me know, asap. Thanks. :)

PS, How many yards of fabric do you suppose it'll need?

For the symbol, you could use an applique, and it seems like people are using black stretch twill for the dress (unless I'm mistaken lmao)

Does anyone have experience altering patterns? I'm thinking about making this Lelouch cosplay along with the emperor one:

CLAMP art design (http://cgi.ebay.com/Code-Geass-Lelouch-evening-wear-Cosplay-Costume-AnySize_W0QQitemZ260349126573QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH _DefaultDomain_0?hash=item260349126573&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50)

I've looked at some frock coat patterns that look similar to that, but I want to know how I would add the raised collar to it.

thanks Amiya ^^ I saw a lot of cosplayer with metal buckle I think they just bought the buckles and made the belt. :)

I made my bucklets from scratch from nickel and I don't really recommend doing that for anyone else~ The thing is that once all that metal is collected at the sleeves, the strain on the shoulder seam is very unattractive~ I would recommend making the buckle shape out of foam and use a stiffer + paint~

But at this point, I'm just really sure what fabric I should use for the blue overcoat. I'm having issues with one of my upcoming Geass cosplays. I don't know how insane I am, but I desperately want to cosplay V.V. soon (possibly for ACen). Only issue is, I'm not sure how long of a wig to actually get with long wigs getting tangled easily. First off, I am only 5'2", so I'm pretty short to begin with. Secondly though; wigs tend to tangle the longer they are. Do I go for the more accurate cosplay and get the http://www.amphigory.com/wigs_really_long.html or do I go and get the http://www.amphigory.com/wigs_enchantment.html for V.V.?

Honestly, i'd go with the enchantment. Your shorter height helps out with the length, but even so, that bit of length between the two of them won't be all that big of a deal/noticable. And that first one will be a lot harder to manage.

One thing i've find that can help with the tangling, is give it a coat of oil shean. That will make it less likely to get tangled. Also, take breakes during the con, and brush it out/fix it up (retouch makeup and fix your outfit at the same time, who knows)

oh dear that is hard... well I'm planning on doing this artbook CCS Sakura's outfit, with the same oversized hecka stable hat, http://sailormoo.net/anime/images/sakura/sakura21.jpg and I'm planning on using some wire to make the base and use leatherish(?) cloth t cover it up and fill it up with cotton so it'll be still and stable but light at the same time...

I'm making a mini version of the hat and it it works I'd recommend it to use for lelouch's hat

RedSonya
02-17-2009, 12:36 AM
I was thinking of altering a Seth Nightroad pattern of her abnormally large hat (http://www.shimmerwing.com/Images/Cosplay/sethref.jpg). Majority of the weight of Seth's hat is on the top of her head which enables some stability, but Lelouch's is on the bottom of his hat which can be difficult to keep on. Wire could work, but wouldn't the hat become disfigured if it were severely bumped into or fallen on the ground?

I posted this in the wigs forum, but nobody replied, so I'm reposting here, because I'm going to need to buy my wig and any extensions I need really soon. So...

I'm going to be cosplaying as Euphemia, in the DVD art version dress, for Otakon, and probably Anime Boston too. I think I can figure out which wig to buy from Cosworx, but my friend mentioned something about using separate pieces for the buns/braids on the sides of the head by the ears, because the buns are pretty big and cumbersome, and I guess she thought that if done with the wig hair, that it would take too much away from the wig.
I have no problem with using the wig to make the buns, but she said that other Euphemias had used those separate pieces. She wasn't 100% sure of what to use either...

Where the hell do I get these extensions, or whatever you call them...idk if they'd be considered extensions in this situation or not...that will match the exact shade of the wig. Hell, even if they don't match, where do I get them? Does Cosworx sell them?
And my friend said there is a special way to attach them to the wig, so they don't droop, or fall off, and so that they look like they're part of the wig itself, instead of extra added on pieces. I think I might have actually found this on DeviantArt yesterday, something about a foam ball under the hair that gets pinned on, but if there's a simpler way, please let me know.

Any help? I'm kind of clueless about wigs...

And sorry to post here about my wig problems, I know there are more important discussions going on, but I was desperate.

RedSonya
02-17-2009, 01:07 AM
Cosworx does sell attachment clip on hair pieces, but nothing similar to Euphies' buns/braids. Usually, additional attachments such as ponytails and buns are attached to the wig by clips that are embedded into the ponytail/braid. Its basically a normal hair pin/clip, but with wig fibers attached to it and its very easy to put onto the main part of the wig. I would suggest getting the the wig + the buns/braids at the same place to ensure that both pieces are the same color. You could always try looking around Ebay for some good deals such as this Euphie wig (http://cgi.ebay.com/Code-Geass-Euphemia-Pink-Wavy-wig-Cosplay_W0QQitemZ280310120808QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS _CSA_MWA_Wigs_Extensions?hash=item280310120808&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A13 18|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50).

I didn't see anything like Euphemia's buns on Cosworx, which was why I was worrying, lol, so thank you for confirming that. I was afraid I'd have to buy the wig, buy extensions someplace else, and then have to color it all with Sharpie or something so it would match- which would probably take weeks.

So, thank you for the tips, and for the link too, because this is SUCH a huge help. And your explanation about the hairclips with wig hair attached is a lot easier than the thing I saw on DeviantArt too, and I'm sure will look much more natural, so thank you sooo much!!

Zipchan

Aurora: It's perfectly fine to use the wig hair to create Euphie's hair style, however there's a certain way of going about it so that it doesn't look so awful. Personally, I prefer the detachable hair buns, since that opens up a lot of options for Euphie's various and sundry hairstyles, but stationary buns still do the job well.

http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1881120/ That's how my Euphie wig looks now, and I just made the buns detachable. I bought an Ivy wig from Cosworx, a pack of matching extensions (you get a lot of hair in one pack) and a styrofoam ball. I cut the styrofoam ball in half and shaped the two halves so that they were a little more rounded, drilled a hole through the middle of each of them, then used the extension hair to cover the styrofoam. They're attached to the wig with bobby pins. :3

You can use a similar method if you don't want to have to buy extensions, just pull some of the wig hair into two semi-thin ponytails on the side and slide the styrofoam pieces over the ponytails, then cover the styrofoam with the hair. That way you don't use up too much hair from the wig.

Personally, I prefer the first method, because the end result looks much better in my opinion. My first Euphie wig was made using the second method, and while it wasn't bad, it could have looked so much better.

Hope this helps!

I have a question.

Is it possible to mod one of those Ichiban Kuji Zero masks so that it's actually wearable? It looks wicked cool, but currently only displayable. The back flaps are hinged but the blue part is opaque plastic.

Photos of said Zero Mask:

http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/7831/sdc10522ff4.jpg
http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/9444/sdc10523xu0.jpg
http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/5707/sdc10524fy9.jpg

Also, with the operating hinges in the way, it's about an inch or two too small to wear. I can half-wear it if I remove all of the back flaps, but then I'd have to hold the mask on my face the entire time...
http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/1309/sdc10527ji9.jpg

Gah, I guess it's slightly smaller than 1:1 scale after all.

Hello...
I need some help with buying a wig for a Xingke cosplay.
I was gonna order Ivy from CosWorx in black but it's out of stock.

So I was thinking of ordering the Godiva 951 XL from CoxWorx http://www.cosworx.com/product.php?productid=16374&cat=2451&page=1
Or the Enchantment from Amphigory. http://www.amphigory.com/wigs_enchantment.html

Both are definatly long enough( I can always trim)
WHich one would you guys recomend I get based on the quality of the wig and if styling it into a Xingke wig is possible? I don't know much about what the best material a wig should be made of or it's quality for styling. I know bangs are difficult to cut into the wig but I don't really have a choice cause all the wigs with bangs already in them aren't long enough in the back. Has anyone worked with cutting bangs into either of these wigs? I know sometimes people get a wig and it's too thin to cut bangs into it....or the quality is so poor the bangs don't set right. I did wanna buy the long wig from Saukra wigs http://www.sakurawigs.com/bwigs/120cma.jpg cause it seemed perfact and wouldn't require too much cutting and styling but I heard people never get their wigs and I don't wanna take the chance.
If anybody has any other wig suggestions I'm open to them.
I would like to order a wig for Xingke asap that way I have time to style it slowly as to not make any mistakes. I have some knowledge of wig styling and have read almost every post and seen almost every video posted on cosplay.com about styling and cutting a wig.

Edit:
I found front of his outfit and cape, now i just need to see the design on the back of his cape, can anybody find a pic of the back of knight of ones cape?

@princedraco: Ive looked around for quite a while searching for Bismarcks cape and the best I could find was this one (http://bk201.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/vlcsnap-14947.png). I would recommend watching Code Geass R2 episode 20 since hes fighting Suzaku with his cape on. Also I found this (http://www.cosplaymanual.com/index.php?option=com_mtree&task=viewimage&img_id=378&Itemid=8) on the Knight of the Rounds. Hope it helps!

@Yumei: Personally I don't think either wigs would work. It is difficult to cut bangs onto a wig that wasn't made to have bangs and it would look somewhat odd. On another note, customers have been very satisfied with both Amphigory and Cosworx. I would recommend the Luxury Long Black wig on Amphigory:

http://www.amphigory.com/wigs_luxury_long_black.html

Since it has bangs already and is VERY long, about 6 ft. O.O Depending on what type of bangs you want for Xinke (http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r75/jahed/blog/vlcsnap-00010.png), use hair spray or wig glue if you want give his bangs a sort of spiked look to it.

@Zipchan: The wig and the pin look great! I want one.

Would this be a good wig for Rakshata?
http://cosplayanimewigs.com/3qsb.html

The blonde looks like it might be too dark, but I'm willing to overlook that if the style is correct.

Cristophine: That looks like it should work just fine. Personally, I would want a longer wig since Rakshata's hair goes near where her bellybutton is, but for manageability that wig would do much better.

ACutally that one was my first choice but then I thought it was ridiculous too long. I also worried about it being a tangled mess when it arrived but then again thats the risk with all long wigs. I suppose after trimming it to my height I can use the parts I cut off as extentions for another character I'm cosplaying........Thanx I think I go with my first choice and order the luxury long wig.

I seriously do not recommend getting a wig that long, especially from Amphigory. I've heard nothing but bad things about super-long Amphigory wigs.

This wig from cosplaywig (http://cgi.ebay.ca/44-SUPER-LONG-BLACK-straight-wig-cosplay-code-geass_W0QQitemZ400032226732QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_C SA_MWA_Wigs_Extensions?hash=item400032226732&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1215|66%3A4|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A13 18) looks pretty much perfect, and would be much easier to detangle.

Ive bought a long wig from Cosplaywig before, and after one day of wearing it to a con, it was EXTREMELY tangled. It was not fun trying to untangle it, but I guess its expected from long wigs. Alot of people say Cosplaywig's long wigs tangle very easily but I do say that the wig Angathol recommended does look pretty nice for Xingke.

WOW I do like that one a whole lot more! Less work for me to do as far as styling. I don't really plan on running around the con with such a long wig just sitting and standing in the same spot for a few pics. I learned a few tricks on what to use on a long wig to keep it from tangleing as much. Some tangling is expected but I don't mind taking a few minutes every little while to kinda run my fingers though it to keep it from becoming a huge mess.

Aside from doing as many C.C. cosplays as I can, I want to also cosplay Nonette Enneagram the Knight of Nine. The hardest part I have to deal with, I think, is the wig. Can someone help me match her hair to some sort of existing dyed wig I can possibly style?

you could follow one of the main boot cover tutorials that are floating around the internet these days. There's one from Cosmode and I think a few cosplayers have them on their sites [not sure who anymore]. It's pretty simple and less expensive than getting thigh high boots.

It's silver, and I know her hair is more of an off-white, but I don't think it would go well with my skin ;__; The only problem I have is with the bangs, though. Does anyone know where I could find a wig similar that has thicker bangs? Or would this one be alright? o__o

Also her dress, would it cost more to commision labor hour wise then buy off website that has made a mass quanity causing price to be cheaper. I've seen the dress for $98 and $103 from good sellers, wondering what the materials cost and labor hrs for people that have made the dress or commisioned it. The dress i'm talking about is her main dress that looks like this(not a pic of one friend is looking at but just example pic)-

@nekocat17: The easiest way would be to purchase a pair of black thigh high boots and make boot covers to modify them.
@benihime: Are you talking about iron on patches (http://www.399animeshop.com/anime/code-geass-lelouch-of-the-rebellion/brittania-ashford-academy-school-logo-ironon.php) or something else?
@princedraco: This (http://cgi.ebay.com/Code-Geass-YUFI-cosplay-wig-costume_W0QQitemZ270351788088QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH _DefaultDomain_0?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116) Euphie wig was the only accurate one I found on Ebay. Or you could try the Ebay sellers, COSPLAYWIG and/or cocsilverhk (http://stores.ebay.com/cocosilverhk_CODE-GEASS_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ804936018QQftidZ2QQtZ km), who also have very nice Euphie wigs, but are currently not listed.
As for her dress, I believe it would most definitely be cheaper to buy it off a website/Ebay, but of course the quality isn't the greatest. From asking quotes about dresses myself, usually commissioners charge around $150 at the least. Another alternative is to make the dress. Depending on the quality/type/price of the fabric used for the dress, it could go either way.

Actually the emblem is not hard to make yourself at all. If you just use som fabric-glue with can be ironed on the shirt/tie/whatever it's for.
Its glue that looks like spiderweb kinda... it's even waterproof and everything XP

I was wondering if anyone has done Euphy in her r2 ending dress? I was wondering if there are any more references for the front, or if its just one of those make up as you go ones >___>

Here's the image that i have: http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b307/eerinsowl/cosplay/saachangeass-ed-08.jpg?t=1238188749

My female Ashford uniform is almost set! My original plans to do season 1! Kallen had been post poned, so I'm making the Ashford uniform instead. I just have to finish up the skirt, make the tie and belt and I'm done ^__^

Hooray! By Kumoricon I'll hopefully be doing an R2 finale Ahford uniform, because I like Kallen much better with spiky hair. My Cornelia'll be in an Ashford uniform too, so it'll be a bit AU 8D

I posted pics of me in my Sound Drama 2 dress last night! I look really dumb in them but I wanted to put something under it since I've had it for a while =,D

teehee~! my Nunnally will soon be complete just need to do the shoes/jacket-ish sleeves ^.^ xD and get a wig... was planning on getting KIDS-Charissa's wig but it hasn't been restockd yet xD

yahoo ^_________^v

Yay! Another Nunnally cosplayer! xD I'm currently working on her R2 outfit too. Not even close to done. xP But, I just bought KIDS-Charissa's Nunnally wig about a week ago, but unfortunately I just got refunded and been told that her factory stopped making it. So disappointed, that wig looked amazing! Dx I think they might make another edition of it though. But, I'm not entirely sure, the email was slightly hard to read... Hopefully they will, I really loved that wig! Dx The bangs were perfect! The seller was also very polite and nice.

Well anyways, you have to tell me when you're done! I love Nunnally cosplayers but there's so few of them.

There are no more references for that outfit. Designing it yourself would be your best bet. Be sure not to draw too much influence from other cosplayers who have done the same outfit; some people might get upset about their original touches being reused. (I've seen problems with that in the past - when someone comes up with something original, and others assume the cosplayer is just being accurate to references they've never seen before.)

My friend cosplayed Euphie in this dress.
Use your imagination!:)

Like Angathol said, try to design it your way, don't look at other Euphies.

Oh! I saw a really good Kallen wig on ebay, the price seems fair too. ^_^ It's $28.99, although shipping is $14.00... But, it's very nicely styled and the seller is very sweet. Just look under ebay user, carinachong, and you'll find it!

EDIT: I almost forgot! Dx The seller's store's name is KIDS-Charissa.

I  her yellow dress! The Kallen outfit I'm working on right now is the Ashford Academy uniform and I'm ordering it off of ebay to match with a friend's so all I need to do is save up money.

It's my dream to do Kallen's weird bat outfit thing from one of the endings that I can't remember~

I know, I was just so bummed afterwards. xD I'm keeping my hopes up though!

Yay! I can't wait to see it! ^__^ But, Wow, 3 costumes? It takes me months just to complete one... I swear I'm so slow, I must've been a sloth in my past life or something. xP What 3 costumes are you doing? (Jumpsuits? xD That's awesome.)

Yeah, I actually plan on starting her ending dress some time after I finished her R2 outfit. But, I can't figure out how the bottom of that dress goes. I'm doodling out a few ideas though... I also really really really want to try to make her artbook dress someday! I love big poofy dresses. xD and petticoats. <3

A little Nunnally would be so cute! I don't think I've seen anyone do that yet. I would love to see it if you do do it! It'll be adorable! I'm tempted to do child Lelouch though. xD It doesn't help that I'm in love with KIDS-Charissa's Lelouch wig.

Try using spirit gum. Its used to adhere prosthetics to the body for theatrical purposes. There are also stronger versions of the stuff out there, though you'd have to go looking for it. Spirit gum at least can usually be picked up in almsot any costume/theater shop.

and just cut some bangs >_<

yea... 3 costumes, doing: Space Cadet Sakura, (finishing my Nunnally xD), and the TRC jumpsuits/goggles Sakura and Syaoran for my bro and his GF :bigtu: it's my way to woo my brother into buying me a Nunnally wig yeaa! lol

uhm actually someone has already made the ballgown for Nunnally before but it's a showcase photo within the site and I have no idea how to find it but it is extremely beautiful.
I just like it cuz it has the Brittania symbol on the front soo uhh >_> kyaa I'm selfish XD

A child Nunnally was actually my first choice but then I saw how easy her R2 would be to make so I went with it instead... and now it's very hard to decide sigh... lol and yes young Lelouch is sooo adorable, KIDS-Charissa is the ace next to Cosplay-Wig!

(are you gunna do her wheelchair? I saw someone who made wonderful one... search it up in the site)

Alright, I've got a question, and I think it'd go here, but I'm not exactly sure....

I know that in one episode of Geass, you see Lloyd in a uniform that isn't his normal lab coat (I think it's his Earl uniform). I'm wondering if anyone can tell me which episode it is. any help is really appreciated.

Thank you

**edit - Found it. R2 episode 9. The party.

(Gaah! So sorry it took forever for me to reply, been sick.)
I like the first better! =3 The color of it is really pretty too. But, the second also looks really good.

Aw, cool! Cardcaptor Sakura cosplays! I haven't seen Cardcaptors in years... I miss it. There needs to be more cosplayers from that series.^_^ There's so many outfits to choose from, although I always liked her red opening dress.

Oh, Sorry! I meant I haven't seen anyone do child Nunnally yet. I actually remember that showcase photo though, it was really pretty! I wish there more photos of it.

(There's no way I could do Nunnally's wheelchair. xD Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't know where to begin. But, the girl who did do the wheelchair did an amazing job on making it though! I'm really impressed, it looks great. However, I do plan on doing the Damocles Key if I can. Something small. xD And lots of paper cranes.

How about you, do you plan on doing her wheelchair?)

Ok, please forgive me, I'm sure this has been asked, however the search thread has shown no results.

I was hoping to cosplay C.C sometime, and I was thinking of using the Ivy wig from cosworx, but they have like...3 listings for green wigs. Does anyone know which would be the best?

If you're unsure about the color of the wig, there's a thead of all of Cosworx's wigs in a whole bunch of colors, http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=156036

Personally, I think the moss green would be better. Emerald and Forest Green seem too dark for C.C. =3

yes, moss green is the commonly used color for CC's hair ^_^v

ack... there's no way I could do the wheel chair... I'm making too many props already and I don't need something that would be too big to put in my room -___-

I was also thinking of making the Key as well XD since I don't... wanna close my eyes... I look weird >_> and... paper cranes? That's sorta overused doncha think? well there aren't many Nunnally cosplayers so bah... the key is a must... THE KEY T_T lol I'm also gunna go her last episode outfit... hahaha the trying hard to make Nunnally look sexy outfit XD (I just happened to have a bunch of extra red fabric from making SOS armbands for my club hehe)

also my outfit is done (just need the wig and shoes) !!! but I'll post pics sometime maybe next week? cuz well I'm at camp and I'm using my psp atm for internet lol XD

and now I only need the wig... WIG WIG WIG T_T

Mph, my friends want me to cosplay Cornelia for the first day of the con. But I am so swamped with my Nel costume and making my friend's sword for her. But I wanna cosplay Cornelia too!

I can't decide what would be more difficult, her costume or her hair lol

hii have a rather hmm interesting question!.
i've fallen in love with CC from code geass and am in love with her green hair especially!.
the only problem is i'm not the thinnest person(80KG) and i have a huge complex about my weight and cosplay.i refuse to usually even cosplay as people and go for mascot costumes and the like but i'm just rather obsessed.

so my question is!.
are there methods i could use on a CC costume (the first series white outfit, preferred) to make it look better on me?.
i've already decided to wear a corset under it,is there anythign else?.
