Ok, here's the scoop:

I'm going to this year's A-Kon convention. It's at the end of May, so I do not have that much time to make my costume. I was originally going as Vash the Stampede but considering my time and money issues, I've decided to choose a simplier costume. Inuyasha. The only problem is this: I don't know where to start on that costume either! I know I can get a long, white, wig and make ears, but I'm lost on his clothes. I need advice please!

hmmm...i've never been to a con, but im goin 2 one comin up soon, but thats beside the point. I can say....see if there's a oriental place that sells kimonos and get a red one...or get some pix from the net and find someone who is good at costume design and get them to make it! Or you can make it urself, but either way...hope this helps...

Try searching the forums for "Inuyasha" or "Inu-yasha" to see what other threads have already been posted on this topic. I'm sure I've seen some.

Yeah theres been a ton. Your best bet it to research the costume a bit: look up kimono patterns and patterns for the style of pants he is wearing (I think there samurai, but I cant remember) Modifying old patterns is the way to go. You gotta really break down the costume and then you can figure it out. Good luck!

Inu-Yasha's costume is based off the Heian period warrior costume, I believe. Good luck with your costume!!

Make me Inu Yasha! (http://www.sengokudaimyo.com/katchu/0.Katchu.html)

To find the pattern, scroll down to "underneath it all" in the left-hand menu!

Just change the cloth color and stiching thread!!! and Kapowie; your one bad demon!

Dont forget the ears... I suggest using a rabbit fur... what else are you going to use it for?
