I have a number for a reporter, Chris Haws. I want to call her the weekend before AFEST so that she can do a story on the con. Give me the yay or nay on this one. Thanks :crest:

Labor Day Weekend is a HUGE weekend for human interest stories, but I suppose our unique brand of celebration should get on the air. I say go for it!

I'd suggest getting with the people that run the con first. They'd probably get as big a kick out of it as anyone...but security and all that, it's something I would bring up with them.

I say yay! XD

Yeah, if security and everyone is good with it, which I don't see why they wouldn't be-- then give 'em a call! ^^ It's definately worth a shot.

I say yay as well as long as security/con heads pass it. I know at Akon my friends and I kept being yelled at for using our video cameras to capture the festivities, so I would definitely ask first.

The weekend before would be sort of short notice. Especially for Labor Day weekend.

Check with the AnimeFest press liaison first. It's their job to communicate accurately and effectively with the media about facts, events, dates, times, prices, phone numbers, guests, locations, rules and etiquette. They'll also have access the most current information, grant the press passes, and all the other little details we couldn't possibly imagine.

Who is it that I should relay my plans to, and how can I get a hold of them?:toothy:

I'll PM you with contact info.
