View Full Version : World of Warcraft Night Elf (Priest Girl)- Need a Little Help

Hi everyone-

I am considering dressing as my Nightelf Priest for this Halloween if possible.

Attached is her pic. I think it shouldn't be too hard to find ears, wig and bodypaint (website suggestions welcome).

My issue is her dress. I looked online for a plain long dress I could add to but no luck. I could look around at some more 2nd-hand stores/websites or could possibly find a generic dress pattern at Wal-Mart.

Any suggestions? I guess the dress doesn't have to be exactly like hers since the skin, ears and hair might make up the most part. Then I just have to find a big hammer/mace/staff (again, site suggestions welcome)..

I guess I'm wanting this to be "quick-n-easy" instead of "detailed-n-time-consuming".

I've looked under the nightelves already made and you girls did beautifully. That's true cosplay, making your costume from scratch. Amazing.

Well, I love dressing up, I'd have more (anime) costumes if I had more money. Not sure if this should go in 'newb' thread, but thanks for reading.

ok about the dress...is it a long sleeve dress? or a sleeveless dress with non connected sleeves (?)

I found a few pattens online that looks pretty simple to sew:

(just go to sewingpatterns.com and search the #s to see what they look like)

Burda 8351
Butterick 4849
Newlook 6305
Newlook 6557

What I usually do is just sit at the pattern tables at the fabric store and flip through the books to find something that looks like what I need. Since you don't need it to be super detailed anything close would work.

As for ears I found these:

and wigs:

You might want to look in the "props and accessories" thread for tips about how to go about making the hammer, or here are some I found online:

I'm an eBay addict, can you tell? xD

Hope this helps ^^ and good luck!

Thank you for the links.. I'll consider all of those..

Right now I just got a pattern that I'm make adjustments to (longer sleeves and length) and got some plain light blue material.

Here's a link to the robe I want. It was attached on my first post but here's the robe by itself. I'll probably do a plainer (solid color) version.

I didn't see any ready-made robes or dresses with similar color/shape. All the ones I see are much fancier and have huge belled arms. This robe has tapered arms, not too belled.

Thanks again for the reply. The hammer would definitely work.
