10-19-2007, 01:08 AM
Attention all potential masquerade constestants! The rules for the 2008 Anime Los Angeles Masquerade are now up on the ALA website (http://www.animelosangeles.org/ala/content/view/83/31/).

If you have any questions, feel free to ask here or send an email to masq@animelosangeles.org .

Please note: These rules are not final, and are subject to change (though I don't anticipate that happening, aside from clarifications).

Quickie answers (to be updated as they're asked):

Q: What is the time limit?
A: Two minutes, regardless of the number of people in your skit.

Q: How many people can be on stage?
A: We'll let you know as soon as we find out the size of the stage. If you're concerned, email the address above.

Q: Can one person be in more than one entry?
A: No. Each person can only appear on stage once.

Q: Do you have to be a member of the convention to be in the masquerade?
A: YES. All participants, whether on stage or acting as ninjas, must be registered members of ALA 2008.

Q: Are you required to do workmanship judging?
A: No, workmanship judging is purely optional. However, we advocate all participants going for workmanship judging as it doesn't hurt, and there's no penalty. :)
