Hello all! I'm getting ready to finally start up my cosplay costumes again....took a break for a bit and ready to get started again!
I'm planning on making Simca from Air Gear for MegaCon next year and everything seems pretty easy to make.
Sailor dress, hat and backpack. But what is stumping me for hte most part is the chaps. yes those sexy triangle chaps she has.
first question...is the design on both sides? and the bigger question, how exactly am I going to go around putting hte design on the chaps.
I'm thinkign that Im probably goign to have to draw it on there but I have no artistic skills what so ever...
any help would greatly be appreciated!!!!

well if your worried about drawing the design on then just find a head on pic of it and then enlarge it to the desired size

Well, no the designs arn't on both sides of one pants leg but if you mean on one pants leg there's a design and on the other there is a design too then I'm guessing yes. I think that's the only picture of her with chaps on but in the Anime she doesn't wear them so you can choose not to make them or to make them. It's optional. For the designs, yes I would suggest drawing them and then using fabric paint or some type of paint to paint in the colors.
Hope I helped! *Man, I'm tired* :3

wait wait wait i was doing some reasearch and its only on the outside of her left pant leg you can see part of her right leg in this pic and there is clearly no design on it http://www.yamatotoysusa.com/CustomDisplays/ProductLargeImage.cfm?path=http://www.yamatotoysusa.com/ProductImages/KYE345164A/KYE345164A-4hr.jpg
btw if you paste in into paint the image get huge so you can see really small details
oh and here is that same site bc the have some really good pics of the design http://www.yamatotoysusa.com/page.cfm/438

ok sooo ya sry bout the double post but so i went ahead and drew the design out since my friend will also need it for this outfit but ya it took a little while bc of all the foreshortening you have to get rid of but i believe this is a fairly accurate drawing of the design feel free to use this and enlarge it for you pants
Colored version (note i would only use this as a ref of what the colors are bc there is more detail in the outline version)
oh and the colors came out a little funky so ya the dark redish color is suppossed to be the pink and the light pinkish color is suppossed to be the yellow

oh wow thank yoU!! that will really help a lot! :D
I find it weird though that it doesnt have the design on each side of the leg (one on the right and the other on the left) but I guess it'll be easy just to make one giant design then on the left leg!
