Any advice on how to make Hibari's tonfas? I was thinking about buying some dowels, paint and black tape, but the problem I have is the construction.
How would I go about putting the two pieces of the tonfa together? Or are there any other suggestions as to what to make his weapons out of?
Any help is greatly welcome.
There's an attachment of what his tonfa looks like below.

Looks like you might need PVC pipe, three end caps,PVC cement, sandpaper, gesso, and paint of course.
Cut the PVC pipe to shape, sand the individual pieces so you're gesso has something to stick to.Make sure not to gesso the portion of the pipe that's going to be connected with the end caps.Connect the pipes to named areas via cement, gesso, than paint areas.Finish with a sealer and that's tonfa in a nutshell.
Here are some pieces you might need:One of these Tee caps. (http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=23876-1815-401010RMC&lpage=none)That depends on the size of your pipe.
End Cap (http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=23897-1815-447010RMC&lpage=none) You can sand down the numbering if you desire.
You can opt for painting in those lines or buy these,PVC Coupling. (http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=23852-1815-429010RMC&lpage=none) Might want to see if they interlock.
Hope it helps man.
