Sorry dude, but that's a big project that will take a long time and a lot of money, and won't look good unless you are familiar with many different forms of crafts, such as fiber glass, vacuum forming, and a lot more. I really wouldn't recommend to take on a project like this unless you have people to help out and a lot of time and money. While it would be cool to see and do, it's just far too big of a project. You may have the willpower, but when the bill starts racking up, and the attempts start failing, that willpower will go down very quickly. Very few people have pulled off anything similar.
I'm just saying.
If you still want to try. There's a tutorial from the guys who made the decent Warhammer 40k Space Marines, located here http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=118781&highlight=space+marine
Still, best of luck.

I'm planning to build it.
The idea right now is carefully-cast aluminum and vacuum-formed plates.
My plan was to use 3d models and CNC machines to mill bucks for the vacuum-forming, and foam for the aluminum casting, so right now I'm hunting for 3D modelers to re-model the suit. I tried and.. got a ways, but then got lost, too.
I've got quite a few references, too:
