yeah, i already made a general, an advanced and every search mode of the forum, in every forum here, and also google failed me...

I need to make a bunny suit. Being specific, Code Geas Kallen's.
here's a refference: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a33/cagalli_orb/MinitokyoFemaleScansCodeGeassLelouc.jpg

I really don't have a clue where to start. do anyone here have a pattern that i can follow or maybe a way to modify a swimsuit pattern? I want to do it from pleather... (i'm starting to learn how to sew, so working with patterns is better for me...)

Thanks in advance ^^!

Personally I think pleather is a poor choice for this, but in the end its up to you. Classically playboy bunny suits like that were made from satin but even that is hard to fit to the curves of the body and still look smooth.

Perfect example of the style (http://cgi.ebay.com/AUTHENTIC-ORIGINAL-PLAYBOY-BUNNY-COSTUME_W0QQitemZ330256720915QQihZ014QQcategoryZ20 8QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Something like that will need boning to not only keep it up but to keep the curves of the body in a smooth curved shape. That or wear a corset or body smoother beneath it and body tape to hold the edges up.

...I've never realized how a simple looking costume could be so complex @___@

it's complex X_x, i was trying to realize how to make it from scratch and no, there's no way X_X. And i was thinking on pleather because i couldn't find casa satin in that shade of fuschia

How much experience do you have sewing? If you do decide to go with pleather, it could be difficult if you're just starting. But if you do decide to go with that, I'll be glad to forewarn you that certain types of pleather (if not all, I'm not sure) will stick to the presser foot on your machine and be tough to get through without bunching up (I just started using it and am going insane just finishing this vest). I think you can stop the bunching up by putting tissue paper over the fabric as you feed it through and pull it out from the seams once finished, or buy a teflon presser foot so it won't stick to the pleather. You'll save yourself the insanity I'm going through. @_@

If you do us pleather you might want to use a two-way stetch pleather. As for the patterns you can go to http://www.kwiksew.com/ and check out their swimsuit and underwear patterns. I've also heard of someone making their own patterns from a corset pattern, but drafting and modifying a pattern is pretty hard.

ok look in the costume section of patterns that may help your search. Try looking for a crepe backed satin. and if all else fails, Make a cast mold of your self. Go Go sung tshirt and Duct tape.

thank you everybod. I sew by hand ^^U i still don't have a sewing machine... and i've sewed pleather before (it's kinda relaxing, you just need good fingers because you'll get a looooot of needle incidents (and i have a pair of needles to sew hard fabrics like denim and pleather).

but the refference of o01000101 (or something like that X_x sorry) was the best. Having an actual playboy bunny costume pictured from the inside mades all my doubts clear. it's basically a corset sewed together with a thong with a fancy cover in the outside to hide the bonning and the cups. Hopefully, i have some old bras to canibalize and get the barbs (again, here they sell barbs just to c cup and i'm a D), so this will be not that problematic.

thanks again to everybody ^^!! now i just need to get my pleather or/and a nice shade of fuschia of casa satin =)

I'm pretty sure the original poster has already figured the costume out, but your tutorial is a great help!
