Quite possibly Black Metal at it's best next to In Flames. I've come to realize that Alexi Laiho isn't human, because he just shreds through those solos like 1-2 minutes at a time like they're nothing.
Plus they do a kick ass cover of Aces High by Iron Maiden :D

your learning...but you have oh so far to go..
don't get me wrong bodom are a great band but to compare them to N*FLAMZE..(and yes i purposley misspelled that) is just wrong . in flames is gothenburg(sweden) style "MELODIC DEATH" metal and dark traquility(also from gothenburg) is a far better band, as is soilwork if you like this style. in flames's first 2 albums were good...thier recent few albums have been steadily going down the crapper...to much mallcore music influence from america.
now if you want REAL "BLACK" METAL go find and download something from the norwegian band "IMMORTAL" prefereable the song "at the heart of winter"
i highly recommend thier last 3 albums
.at the heart of winter
.damned in black
.sons of the norhtern darkness
check out thier homepage below-
alexi also plays in his wifes powermetal band sinergy

I actually saw In Flames, Soilwork, and Unearth in NYC last month. In Flames is much more agressive live than on their recordings.
While we're on the metal topic, you know who's really good too?

ah ive heard of them ^^ Ive yet to listen to them but I guess I will give them a try =/ Im really getting into In flames right and now and have a feeling that there is an upcoming obsession with the band Opeth coming up :D Im not a big fan of the scream-singing but the music from some of these bands are just beautiful =/
