Hey, I've heard mixed reviews about this one manga and I was wondering if anyone has read it? Is it good? I heard in some parts it can be really depressing.

the manga itself is called Confidential Confessions. I'll have to look out for it. but the name itself sounds kinda...ecchi XD

I've been waiting for this to come out since I read the review (kinda pissed that I couldn't buy it today)

It's not ecchi. ^_^; It deals with serious issues that current day teens are facing like suicide and sex and stuff. @_@ So yeah, it's a serious and depressing manga. :p But my friend got it and said it was really good. o.o

Haven't read it, but now I want to =P

I got it out of morbid curiosity.. partly because I was dealing with the whole suicide thing a little bit ago myself, I think it is a pretty good manga, of course the first one is the only one I am going to get and I am going to hide it deep inside my closet now or something :D... even though it was depressing, it does shed some light on important issues...

I just picked up my copy today, and I loved it. Manatsu's story (the suicide one) is quite an interesting look on suicide. It almost made me cry, for personal reasons, heh.

bANgZ: It looks like the author takes on the viewpoints of young girls, but I'm sure anyone could pick up the book without needing to be a girl to understand it.

Yis. I like Confidential Confessions although it made me want to shoot myself after reading it. But it's got me pretty much hooked for some odd reason...u_u

*clasps hands together* So sorry about the extra thread...>_<

I just picked up a copy of Confidential Confessions. It does get really depressing. The main character from the first chapter almost reminds me of how I was once myself. But dispite that, it's really good. I was hooked.

YAY!!!!!!!!!Just read the second volume of Confidential Confessions! I read the first one a few weeks ago. Yeah,it was alittle depreeing, but it's so REAL. This is an amazing series,it's REALLY great. The second one wasn't really depressing,it was more EMPOWERING for me. I REALLY love this series, and I can't wait till the next volumes come out!
I'm so excited! I'm in the mood to discuss sexual harrassment now, along with the manga and other views on things. So.....Just reply if anyone wants ta discuss things!

Lotsa love,

I initially didn't pick this up cause the title sounded cheesy... ^_^;;
But a friend bought it and I borrowed it, and it actually was really good. The artstyle made me expect something different, but overall it was good.

I think was depressing at times in the first volume, but in the end it was left on a high note. Because it accurately showed how it might feel to want to commit suicide, so you start to understand it and feel depressed. But when you keep reading, you see why its the wrong choice, which is overall a good message. But no sugar coated ending, which was a bit of a breath of fresh air compared to the average comic.

Does anyone know the title of the original Japanese name of this comic, and what comic magazine it was published in?

I was in B. Daltons at the mall, picked up a copy and was hooked immediately. I read the entire manga sitting there in the aisle, despite the salespeople repeatedly walking by giving suspicious looks and asking if they could help me find anything (^_^;;). It's angsty, true-to-life (kinda) and really emotion and thought-provoking. I might just be biased though, since it rang so true to a relationship and experience I went through almost identical to the one in the book (not quite so extreme though).

Well according to TP's website:

"The individual volumes in our Confidential Confessions were originally published in Japan by Kodansha as Memai (Dizzy, 2000), Namida (Tears, 2001), and Tobira (Door, 2002). "

I LOVE CONFIDENTIAL CONFESSIONS. It's one of my favorite mangas. The first story in the first volume I can relate to a lot. I like how Reiko Momochi teaches lessons about waking up to bitter reality, without lecturing us. I definitely recommend it.

I used to be extremely suicidal, yet my friend and I read it and had a good laugh. The artwork and the message was all very good (I liked the drawing style ^_^), we just laughed because now suicide to me seems very stupid, and we laughed at how the girl finally realized it. Ahaha, don't kill me, I'm not bashing it, I just laughed thats all o_o' Good ending though.

I like this manga because it deals with real issues. I like how a manga-ka uses the forum of comic to address the social problems and I hope that people get the real meanings behind them. Often it makes me sad or mad, esp the stories about sexual harrassment, boy that ticked me off... but I like it cause I can see the alternate view points.
