Anyone know how to sign up to audition for 'Whose Line is it Anime?'
I've always wanted to try. xDD;

Hey there! I'm as close to a director as Whose Line's got (that is, I'm host and organized it in the first place, but I'm far from the only person in charge). I'm glad you're so interested! :3
Auditions for Whose Line are easy - and no real sign-up involved. Whose Line auditions are on Friday afternoon (we have yet to decide on the exact time, but in years past it's been 3). Show up when the panel starts, get a number, and wow us! Audition hopefuls are grouped up by number and play a game, the judges take notes, and if we keep to last year's schedule, a final number play additional games to make the final cut, plus back-ups.
This year we might have a slight change in requirements - we're likely requiring those who pass auditions to spend some time together Friday after auditions, but more information on that when we've solidified our ideas. Then, the show is Saturday evening! (Again, exact time still to be decided upon.)
If you have any further questions (or if I failed in clarifying), please post!

It sounds like a lot of fun. However, I'll be more likely to end up in the audience than in the show itself, as I'm a bit shy.

Thanks so much, but I have a few questions:
-By Friday, you mean the Friday of the Con, right?
-Have you decided which room the panel will be?
-And can you tell me what exactly happens at the auditions?
(Or issat agaist the rules orsomething? ^^;)

I'll definitely be there... Am I allowed to compete still? I wonder.

Friday, day of the con, is correct~
Once Roy has put up the panel room information into the website, panel rooms will open to be filled, and at that point, I can answer this question wholly. So, ah, TBA! XD
I can tell you overall what happens. You'll receive a number, and then be grouped in numerical order in groups of about 3-5. You will then play a game with that group, and our panel of judges will, well, judge you. They make notes and decide who is to compete a second time if time allows - but how they judge, even I still don't know. <_< I just kinda herd everything along. But it's nothing too complicated.
Ah, Soradesu, if you decide against auditioning (you should, I've heard it's really fun XD), I hope you enjoy the show~
And, pfft, Cris. Of course you're still allowed to compete. Remember, Whose Line is one of the events not affiliated with anything else in Metro. Hopefully it won't conflict with anything else for you!

Thanks so much!
Now all I need to do is convince dad to let me go both days if I make it. : D

Oh, I just remembered!
Is there a certain age you have to be?
02-07-2009, 09:54 PM
Nope, any age is fine!
Okay, so, auditions are at 3 on Friday in the double panel room, rooms 13 & 14. We're still deciding on the time and location for the actual show, so we'll keep you posted!
