I doubt this is a well known series, seeing as its only 12 issues long with some Civil War specials, but Young Avengers is a Marvel comic I love and I'm aiming to create an accurate Wiccan crossplay for this year's conventions.

A full view of his costume. (http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/77/125623-1536-wiccan.jpg)

Another angle with incorrect coloring for the "side patch" (http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/77/326530-57629-wiccan.jpg)

Him using his powers, whoo! (http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/77/125618-163377-wiccan.jpg)

The first question I have is important to even get started on this thing. It's about the uniform's material. There is the option of black swim/sportswear material, but it doesn't have the same look as his does. Any suggestions? I was considering vinyl, but I was afraid that would be too shiny.

Next is the crazy pattern that the uniform has. Should I try to follow that instead of a store bought pattern? Should I make the outfit as a simple one piece and then embroider it on? Or maybe make it whole and then cut it in the pattern then resew it together?

Then the side part... I probably should embroider that, right?

Any suggestions would be great~

hmm.... i'd say that it looks more like a leather jacket and leather pants sewn together with side panels of semi-transparent, embroidered black material... this can be a simple reconstruction if you want it to be. leather pants and leather jacket, sewn and cut... with side panels added or a full semi-transparent black bodysuit underneath... end the pants at the knees with black boots and black knee-pad type things...
