I think she's one of a kind. Her voice's an inspiration.

What d'you think of her? :)

I love Enya, and Sarah Brightman, and a similar band no one's heard of named Lunascape. (http://www.lunascape.net/ must.... promote... bleoved.... band.... seriously though, they have stuff up for download on their site)

Do you like Enya's older sound, or the new stuff like A Day Without Rain?

shes got a pretty voice.

in music class one time my friend brought in her cd and we listened to a song and out teacher thought she was bad. *She should talk! Her voice sounds like a dying crow I'm serious! not to mention shes got something living on her head and that would explain why the music room smells like subs. her teeth are full of green and black crap too. glow in the dark?*
and started like critizing her. that was annoying, but i like her singing and music its really nice and it really is inspiring.

O_o Doesn't sound like much of a "music teacher" if they can't even find musical reasons to dislike her music.

Above posters: Yes, I love Enya and Sarah Brightman too ^_^ They're good for relaxation.

I remeber listening to her back in the day. My mom likes her too, so her cds would be playing nonstop in the car and at home.

>no no i was saying that about her. . .I was going a little off the subject with the hair and teeth but those were extra notes that bothered me about her besides her singing. but she was critizising(sp?) Enya like "She needs to learn to annunciate"(is that what its called? i forget*

Ohhh okay ^^ I never really noticed her teeth, where did you see them? maybe it's a UK thing, a lot of famous people from there tend to have bad teeth O_o

I think rei_hino was talking about her teacher.

I think Enya is great. I like relaxing Celtic sounds occassionally for a change. XD

Oo, another good band to recommend is Clannad. They've been about forever, but aren't mainstream, so you can get their CDs for pretty darn cheap at Half Price Books and the like.

Enya = good sleepy music ^_^ I like putting her stuff on in the background every now and then when I'm working. I find she's one of a few artists who helps to minimize stress.

As for Sarah Brightman, Charlotte Church and Filippa Giordano - ANYONE with an iota of formal voice training would not be able to sit throught 30 seconds of their singing without their hair standing on end.

If you want good sopranos listen to Renée Fleming or Isabel Baraykdarian.
