I'm throwing around the idea of being rogue once I get the money but I'm having a little trouble first off which one should I do. Also any idea on how to do the body suits or patterns I can follow I've never done a cosplay like this before. Thanks for your help!

Rogue, awesome :)

I'm not sure about patterns, but you might save yourself a lot of headache by getting a base bodysuit in the color you would like. From there, you can add either the white or yellow stripes and all the other details.

You can get unitards at just about any dance supply location. www.riversedgedancewear.com has a very nice selection. Some of their unitards are pricey, but they have some very reasonably priced ones that come in basic colors. If you want to go the spandex route, they have a basic white spandex suit with stirrups. Since you'll be wearing boots, it doesn't matter what the 'feet' of your suit looks like. You could get it in white and then dye it with fabric dye to the color you would like.

Now, if you're new to sewing, keep in mind that it is more difficult to work with stretchy, shiny fabrics so either get someone to help you or read up online on 'working with spandex' tutorials.

As for which one you should do, I would think the one with the emerald green and white stripes might be a bit easier, since the striped areas are smaller and that will have less sewing involved. But think about which one you like better. It's basically the older look of Rogue vs. the newer look.

I would recommend also that you search on here for Rogue costumes to see what other people have done in the past and get inspiration. It's not the green costume, but Kelldar has done a Rogue costume and she talks about her process at her site: kelldar.com (under 'costume portfolio') It might help to read about how she did hers.

Good luck with your Rogue costume!
