I also have additional photos of winners from pre-judging so if you would like a photo of yourself then let me know and I can email it to you. :)

However, I will NOT email or post photos of requested costumes, unless you are the one in them and/or you entered as a group.

Once again, thank you to all of the participants who entered and congrats to all of the winners!

This was my first Metrocon and I gotta say, the costume contest is the best run contest I have ever participated in. The time between pre-juding and the contest was reasonable ( not like some conventions where pre-judging is at 9am and the contest is at 8pm...ahem..) and everything seemed to run pretty smoothly. And I liked the cap at 75, keeps the contest from going on and on forever. Not that I'm an authority, but I feel that the winners deserved the prizes. I was so excited when Anastasia won! And chairs backstage, great!

I understand for the sake of time and schedules that contestants are limited to 3 minutes of pre-judging time. But there was so much more that I wanted to say and go over about my costume, I felt that I left a bunch of things out. Maybe 5 minutes?

Also, I know its been tried both ways, but maybe skits and construction should be separated? I know a bunch of really talented people who would have done a skit if it were a separate event on Sunday.
