View Full Version : Help on baby costumes (Suikoden2)
10-04-2002, 03:02 AM
I want to cosplay my 9 month old daughter in a Suikoden/Suikoden 2 costume but I need some help narrowing it down to one or two. This (http://edenmaleden.port5.com/pictures/6-9/14.jpg) and this (http://edenmaleden.port5.com/pictures/6-9/20.jpg) are pictures of my daughter. Please be patient with those pictures, port5 can be slow sometimes (sorry)
Now, I myself am going as Jowy (http://suikosource.com/chars/list/img/140/jowyatreides01.gif), if that has any bearing on your picking.
These are the possibilities for the baby. Keep in mind, I can't make it as elaborate or with anything hanging off because we all know how babies are ::sweatdrop::

http://suikosource.com/chars/list/img/134/jilliablight01.gif (no puffy sleeves or necklaces)
http://suikosource.com/chars/list/img/190/lilly01.gif (no puffy sleeves, and a a plain headband)

If you're going as Jowy you need a Pilika. ^_______^

Definitely Pilika~! Not only would that be absolutely precious, but if you are going as Jowy, it's very fitting. ^_^

And then you'll have two cooing Suikoden II nuts following you around repeating how cute you both are.
Mondae!! It's *Apple*!! *waves madly and giggles* :D
I didn't know you were going as Jowy.. that's awesome! Yeah, I'd definitely say Pilika now too, although a chibi Nanami would still be so cute.. *melts again*
Where are you two going to be cosplaying these? ^____^

Yes yes! You must tell us when! ^_^ There are never enough Suikoden cosplayers...

I don't know Suikoden, besides knowing a number of obsessed fans. (Can you buy the games domestically?)
But my choices would have been Pilika or Nanami, since both outfits look like they'd be comfy for an infant, and super cute too. (I think she kinda looks like Nanami.)

I think so yes, but I believe they're in limited quantities..? (I've heard of people having problems finding Suikoden I, at least..) There's a few online stores that have them in stock, but I got mine off eBay. ^_^
Aa, now I really want to play Lilly.. *wants a musketeer outfit, dernit*

Suiko1 and 2 are already released domestically, Suiko 3 should hit the stores Nov 3rd I think.
Suikogaiden 1 and 2 have not been released domestically. I have them if you want a copy.

I'd really like to play the games, that's what happens when you meet a bunch of people who think it's the best thing since sliced bread, you've gotta find out what the deal is. ^^ I'll try and track down the first two, if I can't borrow them from someone, and I'm sure I'll take you up on the Suikogaiden at some point, Rosiel. ^^ (Like I have time to play games . . . lol.)

Rosiel, I want to get the Suikogaidens some day when I have money, but I have a question. Do you need special codes to play them on a US psx? ^^ Like DDR..? Because some imports just let you play them with the proaction card and no problem.

I can get them to you to try out if you don't mind a copy. I've found them almost impossible to find, unless you try Yahoo Japan or something, and then they are very expensive, so you might want to make sure you want them first.

I don't know. O_O

I want Suikogaiden, I'm praying someone will fansub it. *hint hint* hehe.
Anyway, we're going to be at Katsucon next year. Now I just have to find people to go with and split the room cost or I can only go one day :-(.

;_; I don't have a modded psx, I don't think it can play copies... waaaah!
Katsucon? Whoo. I should have my new Suikoden 2 costume done by then! Yay!

You live in PA too! Ahoy!
I've got to find people to room with though. I wanna go the whole time!

Hey! Another PA Suikoden fan! How nifty~!! I don't know where in PA your city is, but there's a Pittsburgh/western PA cosplay group around here, and I know there are some other fans near Philly too. You should come to Tekkoshocon next spring and support the first (of hopefully many) PA anime cons! ^_^
I would LOVE to play Suikogaiden, but not only do I not know Japanese, my PS isn't modded either.. well, the not knowing Japanese wouldn't really matter. Thank goodness for blind point and clicking. ^_____^
Yes yes, I will be hunting you down at Katsucon for MANY cute and adorable pictures. :D

That's what emus are for... ^______^

We can meet up. That'd be nice ^_^!

yay, another mom/daughter cosplay team! ^^ I have a four-year-old daughter that I make costumes for, as well as my hubby. And I live in PA too! Right now I'm in State College, but I generally live in Allentown, when my hubby doesn't have college. I think we're going to try to go to Tekkoshocon, since it's only an hour or so from State College. But actually, it's not the first con in PA. Otakon originally began right here in State College PA! But then it moved, and made us PA people sad, ne? ^^
Anyway, good luck on making her costume, I'm sure she'll be a cutie!

Aa...when is that? Any info on it? I'm only a couple hours from State College so...I might go to that one too ^_^.

March 29-30, 2003, Pittsburgh, PA. Sorry there isn't much on the site yet, but we're working hard on it. ^_^;

Aa...thanks. Do you need any webdesign help? I'm a webdesigner by profession ^_^ for makenki.org. I'm always here for tips.
