I just fell love with her music. Ever since I heard Hikari-plantib remix english version from the kingdom Hearts. I was hook. ^__^
I was determine to find songs of her. Which I did. ^__^
I found and heard Sakura Drops (I love this song), First Love, Hikari(Orginal Japanese verison), and Hikari(Plantib remix english version).

Ah, yes Hikaru Utada...*thinks* if you like her maybe you'll like Ayu (Ayumi Hamasaki) as well...? How bout the "Girl Band from Hell" Morning Musume o.o;;;;;*coughcoughcough*......
mmmm Utada Mikaru.. I love her music. ^^ My favorites are "Traveling" and "Can YOu Keep a Secret?" Actually, I was going to do "Can You Keep a Secret?" for the AXNY open mic karaoke,.... then I realized it was at the same time as the masquarade. ^^;

Try a little Ai MAeda, "I Wish", or "Moving On". :)

Oh yeah, look for "Final Distance f/ m-flo" which is tight! Morning Musume?! Ugh! Bad enough there's a USA Musume! Oh geez, lastpic of them I saw they all fat girls in gold skimpy dresses! Talk about being scarred for life! >.<

o.o;....momusu are funny...i think they might've been the largest girl band on earth at some point, right...I think that had like 13(??) members at a time..I think there's only 9(??) now...x.x; man...that's why all of their songs are so long...*shrugs*<.<;
10-06-2002, 03:25 PM
OMG!! I <3 HIKARU!!!!! ^^;;;;
10-06-2002, 03:38 PM
'final distance' is nice. ^_^
utada's kawaii ... too bad she's already married. -_-o
>*listening to Hikari right now* ^__^
have you seen its mtv? (dishwashing scene?) i think its innovative though others say its boring.

Actually, I like some of Morning Musume's songs like The*Peace,
I Wish, and Akogare My Boy. I am not big fan of them. Just like some of their songs. ^__^
>have you seen its mtv? (dishwashing scene?) i think its innovative though others say its boring.
No.. I have not.
>Ah, yes Hikaru Utada...*thinks* if you like her maybe you'll like Ayu (Ayumi Hamasaki) as well...? How bout the "Girl Band from Hell" Morning Musume o.o;;;;;*coughcoughcough*......
I only heard two songs from Ayumi Hamasaki. Voyage and independent.

I *HATE* Ayumi Hamasaki.-_- My friend tried to convince me about her "originality" and "uniqueness" of lyrics/style....C'MON. Even merely looking at some of her song *titles* tells you more than enough about what kinda singer she is...*bleh*(sorry Ayu fans-.- )
As for Utada, it's nice to see (NO OFFENCE PEOPLE!!!>_< ) a japanese singer that can actually speak english and sound good.
God knows I *LOVE* Gackt, but when I stumbled upon this one clip of Gackt doing a X-mas *duet* with *Ayumi Hamasaki* of "Silent Night"(is that the name? ) I felt like shooting myself...Gackt-chan...I love you but....*sigh*....not in english...why do they keep dying their hair blond, why why why must they try to be "american". *sigh*...I hope they're not taking their culture for granted. It's so ironic- we want to be like them, they want to be like us.
Well. With exceptions of course.
And Momusu! I actually like one of their songs- "Baby no Knock Out" or something along those lines??^_^;; And the video that I found hilarious was "Happy Summer Wedding"(??????)....I took a look at their video for "Dance Dance" or..eh, keep forgeting song titles...and had a nightmare that same night - too much of anything is bad, especially too much *PINK*-.-;;;*falls over*
However, if you get a chance take a look at the "gackt and momusu in the elevator" clip...it's sooo cute=^-^=...oh, oh and the clip where Gackt's on a date with uh...several of them...ah, i forget x_x; I haven't watched those for an year now...nyo...

I've loved her since she came out with her first Album ^_^
She's my sexy love machine~!
I mean that with as much heterosexuality as possible ^_~

Hikki rules all. I love her music so much. I heard one of her songs at the vid thinggy at Katsu a few years ago and fell in love. Now I have one of her songs as my ring tone a CD and littered songs all over my comp by her. I love Eternally and Final Distance but there are so many others that are so good by her.
I didn't know she did a song for Kingdom Hearts. If anyone can tell me where to get it let me know please. I may be weary about the game but it's her. ^^
I really have to say I like Morning Massumi. There needs to be more rando thirteen girl bands out there. They honestly are one of the cutest things I've ever seen. And I've never heard Gacket, but I do adore L`arc. -=Huggles her Hyde plush=- They're just terribly talented and I love their videos. They're quite innovative in some of their ways. (Like the simplicity of some of them)

Haven't heard of Gackt?!*gasp*...wow....well....he IS more j-pop now(more than ever I'd say)...although he used to be visual-kei when he was still in Malice Mizer and then for a short while after he quit...used to be...*SNIFF*>.<!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Laruku are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!^____^ I looooove Hyde!!! *pets* And Ken and TETSUU!! Kiyaaaaa!^^

Wait, where is the cosplay part of this thread?
Anyone planning any of these costumes??
*wants to do Ayaya Momoiro Kataomoi costume* ^_^!!!
Dude, I know I'm fat and ugly, but it's still impolite to say it in public.
10-08-2002, 08:35 PM
Who said you're "fat and ugly"???>_< Don't put yerself down!! *and that coming from a person with EXTREEEMELY low self-esteem<_<;;;;;;*....just be happey...who cares what people think...eh...isn't this supposed to be about j-pop/j-rock?<_<;....

Hikaru Utada is da bomb. *lol* Like Luna, I have been into her music ever since she first came out. My favorite song of hers is "Never Let Go" from her first album. Tightness.
Don't ANYONE be dissin' on Morning Musume. I am a HUGE fan of their music. If you're down and depressed...listen to them...they'll cheer you right up!
Oh. For people who are seriously into the R&B/Rap scene in Japan I recommed Crystal Kay, Double, Miss Monday, The Heartsdales, Chemistry, and Silva.
10-08-2002, 11:03 PM
LOL! Don't worry, that's not what I think ^_^
I'm just teasing a certain somebody for inadvertently calling a whole bunch of skinny girls fat. Maybe next time he'll think before saying something like that.... :D
Go Momusu!! Yes, they are so cute and happy! and DIVERSE! *knows all the songs, and most of the dance routines* :D I wanna do soooo many of their costumes *_*
10-11-2002, 05:41 PM
Me Too~ I was really hooked on her Hikari (kingdom hearts ver) song, then I wanted to hear more so now i've heard alot of her other songs. I recommend Hikari, Traveling, Sakura Drops, Can You Keep a Secret. I still need to hear her other songs :D
10-16-2002, 07:02 PM
Not sure if anyone was aware or not, but Hikaru Utada has been signed on with Def Jam Records. She's gonna put on an american album pretty soon.
Thought that'd please a few people. ^_^
10-17-2002, 11:31 AM
I heard something about that, but didn't know she sign to Def Jam Records. Happy-Happy Joy-Joy. I can't wait to go buy it when it comes out. ^_^

yeah....HIKKI ROCKS!!! ^__^
i've been listening to her ever since the album "first love" came out. i think my all-time most favorite song from her is "automatic"....dont ask me why...i just do!! ^__^ i feel ultra genki everytime i listen to it!!! and "in my room" was pretty cool too....i love her r&b flavor!!
"distance" the album was okay. i don't love it but it's pretty darn good too. but..."deep river" was totally awesome!!! i love it!!!!! sakura drops, traveling, and especially hikari were soooo ultra sugoi!!!!!! i love the videos too!!! ^__^
so i was really happy when i heard hikki was doing the theme for kingdom hearts!! i love hikari but dang...the simple and clean version was totally different but pretty cool just because hikki sang it.....however, i wish square and disney kept the original hikari instead....
i just attached a hikki pic for fun that i made....enjoy!

If you think Morning Musume is scary, Onyanko Club is even worse.
What the heck is Onyanko Club? It's the 1980s MoMusu. They don't have 13something members. I'd go along the lines for 40something members. Their tunes are pretty catchy though. ^_^
10-29-2002, 03:56 PM
I love the song Hikari and the english version! I am so glad that Christina (umm...whats her last name?) didn't sing it!! It would've ruined KH! Thank you Hikaru Utada!!!
11-01-2002, 05:20 PM
Hikki = the coolest!!! if anyone else did the english KH theme, the game wouldn't even measure up to what it is today!!! ^__^
Repeat the chant after me....
11-29-2002, 10:53 PM
geeezz...till this day, some people believe that britney spears sang "simple and clean".....x_____x;;
it's as if she can even really sing anyway...who started these baka rumors??!! XP
