ORIGINAL PHOTO NOW REVEALED, SEE PAGE 3!~

First off I don't want critique on the photo itself, because I didn't take it, but I think I can post it here because its a photo of me. ((yes I know it's burning your eyes xD))

Anyways, there are a few things in this photo that I photoshopped out. Can you tell what they are? (After I get some responses, I'll show the original photo so you guys can see what it looked like. xD)

http://i33.tinypic.com/23k810y.png

I quote this from a thread I looked at earlier,
"Photoshop is for fixing details. If you can tell it's been photoshopped, you aren't doing it right."
Soooo, I wanna know if you can tell what's been photoshopped. ^___^

((NOTE: Please take into consideration that this is the first time I've tried photoshopping something out of a photo, so don't be too hard. xD))

Nope xD It's something on me, not the background. :)

I didn't lie xD I just wanted to see if you could figure out what I photoshopped.
And that's a retainer. I can take it out. :P
Okay I'll get a better pic if you want...

((Kay :D No more hints for you guys! ;P))

the OP's picture-size looks fine on this site to me. :D

I didn't mean it like that, but you should know as well as the rest of us that you can hide things (blur, smudges, etc...) on a smaller photo.

I didn't lie xD

I meant lying by altering a photo that represents something that isnt' real, when all I had to do was click the next photo in your gallery.

It's a vicious cycle...trust me.

ALL PHOTOS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED AT STANDARD DEFINITION!
320x240 PIXELS TO THE MAX!

It's cool xD
I didn't mean to try and hide anything by the way. O.O
lol... I know what I did to it will probably be obvious because It's my first try. xD

EDIT:
The link in the description is gone
The link in my first post now takes you to a bigger picture
I DO NOT have braces, I have a removable retainer xP

It looks good to me; nothing stands out that's been obviously messed with. I could take just a generic guess that you smoothed your skin out and removed whatever blemishes might have been there, but it doesn't look unnatural at all. Good job! ^_^

P.S. iluvhorsez, love your sig <3

ok so i cheated and looked. Looking at both high res shots, I think you did a pretty good job grabbing the majority of what you were trying to remove. Curious which tools you used in PS (There are good ways and bad ways).

maybe make the face a lil lighter? I can't quite see her eyes.

add some fill light to the photo if you can via curves/levels or if you have lightroom.

nice work. Now you can move on to brightening that smile with a little curves layer mask =P

Okay, I took some well needed advice and tried editing it a little more, but I think I just made it a lot worse! Dx Anyways, here's what It looks like now...

Nooo! I think the new version looks a lot better!
What looked edited to me were the stripes on the right top. The circles look like cloning tool marks. Also, there are random smudge marks on the table but those could just be stains/grease from something that was on there.

It looks really good overall, but the cardboard parts on the keys look a little like they were photoshopped in (I know they weren't obviously!) But this is really nice!

Thanks guys. :D I thought I'd made it worse. xD
I'll put up a pic of the original photo soon so you guys can see the main thing that I photoshopped out. :3 ((if you haven't figured it out already))

Rouge13 - Yes I did, but there is one main thing that I photoshopped out of the original photo which has not been shown to most of you yet. :) (I'll put it up soon.)

williamanthony - Why thank you so much! ^___^

Well, here are the areas that look suspect to me...you did a good job Photo Shopping because it's not obvious at all.

All I can really tell was that you lightened up the picture a bit *is half-asleep, so nt very observant* It's easier to see your eyes in the second pic :D

The time youíre doing the critique, the photo has been taken. it is important to remember that a photo critique isnít about a single photo: itís about how a photographer can develop as a snapper, both technically and artistically.

You know, looking at this again, there seems to be some cloning around the key blade in the top right background. I also noticed the key looks bent; it doesn't line up exactly with the main shaft on the left side. I suspect the that they key may have been shortened to achieve a better composition. Or it could have been composited in from another shot if the end of the key was behind her head.

did you remove the ink stamp from your hand?

This mystery has been going on for many months. When will the answer finally be revealed?

I think it was hinted that it was braces on teeth being removed.

I apologize for the long wait everyone..life caught up with me and I forgot ALL about this thread.~

The one thing that I photoshopped (The main thing, actually..because since my first post, I did a bit more tweaking on it.) was deleting a bar over my top teeth. -a retainer- I'd since stopped wearing it, and didn't want it to be there, so I tried my best to remove it. I later lightened the whole photo a bit with curves and smoothed under my eyes some. (A long day of cosplay makes for tired eyes. xD)

This is the original photo. - http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3310/3436567731_fa0119046a_z.jpg?zz=1
(I was so...tired. xD) I couldn't find the original larger copy.~

the contrast in her smile lines is really apparent and unappealing. recommend softening the light on her skin with some dodge/burn/clone/stamp. also brighten up her eyes. and while you're at it, remove the lines under the eyes a bit.
