Once upon a time, a friend and I were reveling in the horror that is Warriors of the Wind, that truly, legendarily awful edit of Nausicaa. As we watched, brief argument broke out over whether Nausicaa (or should I say Zandra? :thumbsup:) was wearing any pants, as it was a terrible old VHS and yes, it did look she had a bare butt.

Like most people of our generation, we turned to the internet for help. She wasn't convinced after the first few hits, but I managed to find some decisive evidence: an animator's reference sheet that showed Nausicaa from various angles, with all her different expressions, etc. On it was scribbled little notes in Japanese about the different details of her character design. One was an arrow pointing to her pants that said, "Pants...are pants." And thus, my argument was won.

Flash forward to today. I'm in the planning phase for a Nausicaa cosplay. I have the film on DVD, so I'm not short on references. Despite that, I would dearly love to have that reference sheet, just to make sure I don't miss any details, but I cannot seem to find it for the life of me. Google has turned out to be fruitless. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, or where I can find it?

Thanks.

i couldn't find a reference sheet, but when i made my nausicaa costume (unfinished :( )
i used white stockings for her pants

this is one of the manga covers, her legs look lighter than her skin so i chose white stockings

I'm sure this is too late, but I just saw this thread. ^^;

I have a Nausicaa artbook (watercolor impressions) and that reference sheet is in it. The book is gorgeous, too.
