Which Jpop/Jrock singers do you listen to avidly? As for me, I listen to BoA, Utada Hikaru, Hamasaki Ayumi, W-inds, Hiro, To-Ya, Gackt, a few from Malice Mizer. The others I listen to but not as much as the above artists.

Ok now which Kpop/Krock (korean) singers do you listen to? I listen to BoA, SES, To-ya, Fly to the Sky, Baby VOX, shinhwa.

And as for Cpop (chinese) I havent really listened to much of it, but i've heard like a song or two from Ruby, Jay zhou, Vicky.

I'm liking MOVE a lot lately as far as J-Pop goes.. I bought their double disc techno and trance remix at OTakon and I've been loving it! T.M. Revolution's Triple Joker is also high on my playlist. ^_^ Staple favorites are Ayu, Utada Hikaru, PORNO GRAFFITI (YEA!!!!), Two-Mix, uhmm... other stuff, yeah. OH, ParaParaMAX CD's!

As for KPop, the only stuff I've really heard are SES and H.O.T, and H.O.T makes me giggle because they really put the "pop" back into "pop music". (I think I lost a few teeth while I was listening to their stuff, LOL!)

As far as anything Chinese, the only Chinese song I've ever heard is Faye Wong's 'Lemon Tree'. ^^;;;

I don't listen to much k/c rock/pop, but I am crazy about j-rock. 90% of my dedication is to Dir en grey just now... otherwise, Raphael, Aioria, Kagrra, Lareine... various others. He he.

For Jpop, I LOVE w-inds. They are so cute, especially Ryohei. And I like Morning Musume a lot.

For Jrock, Malice Mizer is on the top of my list, by far. I'm crazy about Gackt, and Mana's new solo career is nifty too. How many people out there like Pierrot? I love the style of their songs, and I absolutely adore Kirito's voice.

I dunno if you would classify BoA as Jpop. Yes, she does sing a lot of japanese songs and is signed with avex. She also sings in english, would you call her american pop? Most of what she does is her native korean. She's a Kpop artist.

Yay for liking kpop groups that arent bandwagon groups! :D

I preffer J-rock than J-pop, but I like Utada Hikaru, Rina Auichi, W-inds, Speed, Two-Mix, Boa, Kinki Kids, Maaya Sakamoto, Misia, and a little bit of Ayumi Hamasaki.

As for J-rock, Gackt, Malice Mizer [my favorite singer/band in the whole!damn!world!], X-Japan, Lucifer, Glay, L'arc en Ciel, Dir en Grey, and TM Revolution.

K-pop: H.O.T.

C-rock: Silver Ash!! I think I'm going to see them when they tour the US. ^___________________^ ::melts::

I kind of dig Guitar Wolf, but the only thing they have in common with J-Rock is the 'J' :D

J-Pop/Rock: Utada Hikaru, Gackt, L'Arc En Ciel

K-Pop/Rock: H.O.T [JTL, KangTa, and HeeJun], ShinHwa, Bi, Byul, YGFamily, Fly To The Sky, Eve, 1TYM

(H.O.T did almost every genre of music, not just pop, ^o^ Dats why I loved dem soooo much!)

C-Pop: GiGi Leung

Well I would put Boa in the Jpop category, all ur reasons are true but her japanese music is kinda different than her kpop songs. Her japanese songs are more oriented to the Japanese audience if you notice (like listen to my heart) I think she is putting more effort and time in Japan. If you classified her as kpop then japanese people would be listening to kpop ;)

As for bandwagon groupies , ay anything that sounds good I like! I forgot to mention, I like EVE as for korean visual rock band and s#arp and more i cant think of cuz of brain fart frm studying SAT's.

^^ Yes, I am one who falls into what some of my friends call the cliche section. About a good 60% of my mp3 collection consists of Ayumi Hamasaki. She's probably my favorite j-pop singer. I'm starting to really get into Utada Hikaru songs lately as well.

As far as J-rock goes, I haven't really heard a lot, but I am a Gackt fan and I like a few of Malice Mizer songs as well. Although, I will admit the first time I saw the video for Illuminati and just kinda sat there blinking various times at the computer screen.

Um..hm...K-pop, I really like SES. They're so cute and genki. ^_^

I also like Two-Mix and Move as well. :D

I listen to Hikaru Utada, Ayu, Aikawa Nanase, Malice Mizer, Gackt, Shiina Ringo, Every Little Thing, Two Mix, Amuro Namie, MAX, SPEED, Brilliant Green, Tommy Boy February, and Tomoko Kasahara.

I also listen to lots of 1980s j-pop. ^^; My favorite would have to be Yoko Oginome. *_* If you haven't, download "Coffee Rumba" and "Eat You Up." Then there's Onyanko Club and Chisato Moritaka...and the eternal Akemi Ishii.

As far as C-pop...I would go with CoCo Lee and Amei. ^_^

J-Pop: Rag Fair (A cappella group, the lead singer is SO funny!), SMAP, Mr. Children, Kinki Kids, Tackey and Tsubasa [^bL and ] (They sang a song about 9/11, BTW), BoA, Glay, Megumi Hayashibara.... As for Morning Musume, they're on TV here WAY too much, and their songs bug the hell outta me. Ayumi Hamazaki [l_] used to be OK, but her voice, too, bugs me now... ><*

J-Rock: Malice Mizer, old Gackt stuff, a few songs by Luna Sea... Dir en Grey is pretty evil o.O But that one guy... (the guitar, or bass player, I think) is really hot ^^*

K-Pop: Never heard BoA sing in Korean... But, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Chonan Kan (the Korean name of the guy with the cheekbones in SMAP... He's SOOOO cute!!!). Aside from that, the Korean music from DDR... BaKwa (sp?), Rose, and so on...

^.^ Ja ne!

I haven't gotten too into J-Pop, only things from anime/movie soundtracks. I do listen to some Chinese pop, since I'm working to improve my Chinese.

Right now I'm a *huge* fan of CoCo Lee and started listening to S.H.E. and eVonne and what list is complete without Sammi Cheung. :>

Youjeen isn't 'underground' per se, at least as far as I know... I'm pretty sure she's been high on the charts. She releases stuff in Korean, Japanese, -and- English...

a lot of her fans know of her because she's produced by J (Luna Sea, Zilch, etc)

It think it is over 10mb, but I have ways of getting around that. Very sneaky! Okay, not that sneaky, but I can split the file and its easy to put back together again.

I can't cosplay Kagrra until 04! I reaaaaaaaaally wanna do it in 2003, but I don't have the time. Too many other costumes planned!
