View Full Version : Sam Fisher (Splinter Cell Conviction) help!

So I'm cosplaying as Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell Conviction this year and I had some questions about some of his gear. The three things I don't really know how to find are the sweater (or the overshirt, it looks like a sweater), the backpack, and the GPS unit (since I don't want to buy a real one).

Here are some pictures, but there really aren't any "good" ones yet, these will help though:

(the GPS thing is on the strap of the backpack that crosses his chest)

Thank you in advance for any help!

Hey mate.

The backpack you might be looking for is a 5.11 Tactical Select Carry Sling Pack.

The pants might also be 5.11 Cargo Pants, I'm not completely sure.

Other information - Sam uses a FN Five-seveN, but in other levels he will occasionally use other weapons such as a Mossberg 500, Barrett REC7, MP5NA3, and somewhere I saw a MP5SD3.

The sweater I'm stumped about. It might be a select made one or could be made up. Unsure.

Hope this info helps!

Hey thanks for the ideas, very helpfull. The sweater and backpack are the hardest parts so far. Everything else I have basically found.

Got the unshaven Look and gruff voice sorted out? And are you in your fourties for realism? :3

For what convention are you being Sam? I'm gonna be at AX and ComiCon as Sam and I'm also having trouble finding a sweater. My main issue is that in some pictures it looks grey and in other olive.

I had to make my sweater by buying an SAS commando sweater and attaching the black peices on top of it.

Depending on cons, you can find a cheap FiveseveN clone airsoft gun and use that as your prop. I did.

I plan on upgrading my backpack to a 5.11 but right now I'm using a cheap sling backpack from amazon and modded it to have the understrap.

For the Satcom I actually used my iphone but if you go to radio shack they have plenty of fake phones. Just ask if they are throwing any away and see what you can nab.

Good luck man hope your costume turns out great.

EDIT: Here is the sweater I used as a base:

Just sew on the black panels and your pretty much good to go. Its also slightly darker than what they show in the pic.

This is the bag that I modded and it turned out alright for what its worth

Hope this helps.

Oh and @Garfsan Not only did I not shave for a week, I also greyed my hair and used makeup for fake bruising and cuts and blood. I hope he'll do the same. That would be awesome.

There is the SCC bag that came with the collectors edition of the game :)

Did over here from Electronics Boutique anyway.
