View Full Version : Half Life 2 Combine Soldier

Hello all! Its been a while since i last worked on my Half life 2 Combine soldier costume but ive decided to give it another shot. There are a couple of things i wanted to ask about, first of is the lenses the soldier's mask has, im wondering if anyone has any good tips on how to make the blueish kinda lens so i can still see somewhat through but just enough so that others have a hard time to see in, like sun glasses. I've managed to find some magnetic LED's that i have attached inside the helmet so I have the blue glow you can see from their helmets. My second question is if anyone knows if there is any products that can help reinforce the actual helmet, it is made mostly of Spackle (with the exception of the inside that has a thin cardboard skeleton for support) if anyone has any ideas i would really appreciate it! There's an attachment on how their helmets look like. Check out my profile if you wanna see more pics on how the costume is coming along ;]

First off, thank you for the reply ;p and secondly the tutorial proved to be very resourceful. The use of aluminum as reflectors seems a part worthy to experiment with ;] I did however find transparent folders in the right color that im going to cut out in the same lens shape, will post pics soon ^.^
