I haven't done any heavy rain cosplays, but i think it'd be fun to do one for my first cosplay because it seems pretty simple. XD i noticed i couldn't find ANY Heavyrain cosplayers, so has anybody here ever done a Heavy Rain cosplay? have any tips? :B

It depends on who you plan to cosplay. For example, the costume I've been making of Norman Jayden is a bit more complicated than the other characters since I had to find sunglasses and add LED lights to them.

The problem with this idea is that everyone is wearing normal street clothes in that game. It will be hard to tell that you are wearing a costume at all.

I agree unless you get a group of people who actually look like the characters, it may be hard to tell you're in costume. I think Jayden may be recognized if you're always wearing sunglasses and have a right glove on. Madison would need the right hair, and Shelby better be pudgy!

Yeah, it would be hard to recognize anyone if they weren't in a group or something. I would love to be Madison because I find her so kick ass, but I highly doubt anyone would recognize the girl in the red blouse and black skirt to be a cosplayer. lol

I've seen a Norman Jayden cosplay where he attached the quicktime arrows to himself so it looked like he was in the game. XD It was super cool!

I would've liked to include the button icons for my Norman Jayden costume, but then I'd feel like I was stealing his idea, so I'll do it without them.

That is such a cleaver idea!

I would also love to see a Jayden with the glasses glowing.

I've got some glowing ARI glasses. But I'm painting them right now so I'll post a picture when I'm done.

Yeah that's the one. If you could manage to track him down then you could ask him if it was alright if you did the arrows too if it makes you that uncomfortable? Some cosplayers are tightlipped about their cosplay "secrets" but you never know, he might have the share and share alike philosophy! : D Could also have the little thoughts coming off of your head? I can't remember if someone else has done that or not but it's an option instead of the arrows.

I don't want to cosplay HR so much as I want Norman's sunglasses ha ha!

I just played the demo for this game. Love x10.
But I must agree with the others, it'll be hard to cosplay from this game.

I've uploaded my pictures onto deviantArt. Some didn't come out too good, though.

@Divine Dragon; I'm absolutely in LOVE with your cosplay of Norman Jayden!
The picutres greatly capture his character and some in-game scenes (especially those two; http://dartfeld.deviantart.com/art/Norman-Jayden-needs-ARI-time-168518668?q=1&qo=1
http://dartfeld.deviantart.com/art/Norman-Jayden-gives-up-168521539?q=1&qo=1 ) so to me, you've GREATLY succeeded into bringing this character come to life in real life ^____^
Wish people did more pictures like this.

@mikcy; Myself, I think Madisons outfit could be recogniseable if you cosplayed the version with the leather jacket (which I'd LOVE to have, it's such a gorguous thing) and did a good job on the hair and used lenses..
The red skirt version is imho recogniseable for the people who've played the game (heck, I'd bet some things for it that the scene where she wears that is re-played A LOT by most of the male players :p )

Overall, I'd also love to see more Heavy Rain cosplay, you can find some on deviantart but I only think the Norman Jayden cosplays ae good enough. Someone did Lauren, she really looks like her and I like that, but the one who did Paige.. NO.
Future will bring more accurate cosplayers, I'm sure of that ;)

Thanks for the compliments.

At that con, my friend was cosplaying Madison (Blue Lagoon version) and at least a few people recognized her, even without me in costume with her.

We only took one pic together since it was late and we had no one to hold the camera.

I'm about to debut my Madison Paige cosplay for Metrocon. To make sure I'm somewhat recognizable, I made quick time icons to tape to myself. XD

I'll be at Metrocon, but I can't wear Norman on Friday. Sunday would be my only option if you want to have a Heavy Rain group.

I am a Madison Paige cosplayer - I debuted with her club outfit at Colossalcon in June, which was admittedly a pretty atrocious last-minute thrift store cosplay. I'm going to be updating it quite a bit before Ohayocon. Didn't get many pictures of it, but I'll look.

Yo! Fellow Heavy Rain cosplayer to be here.

I'm going for the big man himself, Scott Shelby... but I'm running into a few problems. Well... mainly one.

His hair...

I'm a girl with a head of blonde hair, and it seems to me that any wig I purchase is going to be too long. He is practically buzz cut.

But I do not want to go chopping off all my hair. I would for the sake of the cosplay, but I have a feeling my parents, not to mention my college buddies, they'd never forgive me.

Does anyone have any good ideas, or am I going to have to lose the hair?
