I'm cosplaying Ema Skye's version from Apollo Justice and the glasses are killing me Dx Even if I found an ovally pair now, the lenses would be a problem. I googled around, but everything I've been finding is kind of vague...can anyone help?

If the lenses are plastic, I kid you not, break out a sharpie and color them. It was what I ended up doing when I needed a pair of red mirror-shades and couldn't find them for love or money.

I searched high and low for a plastic-adhering paint that was also transparent and was basically told by a guy at a pretty specialized paint store that it doesn't exist. Utterly defeated, I came home with my $5 pair of sunglasses and decided with a shrug that I had nothing to lose; I tried the red sharpie. And by George, if it didn't work.

They do need touching up every once in a while, so don't go for a cheap sharpie knock-off. You'll want to be able to match the ink when it happens, so the name-brand is your best bet, since you'll be able to get one at just about any Walgreens anywhere.

Glass paint works a well.

Won't adhere to plastic.

Actually, I've had mixed results with stain glass paint working on plastic. (But a sharpie would probably just be easier.)
Seemed solid colors worked fine (it was more like a marker):

but trying to do a transparent green was less successful for my Star Fox scouter.

Don't use a sharpie too dark, I've made that mistake, it's hard to correct.

Or you could try dying the plastic (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=57957.0).

Just a note (I have no idea how to dye glasses, but the sharpie method sounds good to me), Ema's glasses are round - they only seem oval in the picture because she has them over her head. In Phoenix Wright, when she was younger, you see her put them on and they are round. Just thought it might help making searching easier.

EDIT: Don't know if this is helpful to you, but...

I found these two, if they make things easier? I know they seem a bit too "stylish" for Ema, but they are the cheapest and closest I could find.

If the glasses you found are clear you could find some transparent colored plastic folders and cut the lens silhouette and then glue it by the edges on the inside of the glasses. My boyfriend did that for a mask lens and I didn't even notice that they weren't really red until when he took the plastic layer off for another cosplay.

Hope it helps

What I do for eyes on furries is use some brand new smooth feeling Screen Door black mesh material (home depot) and paint the colour I want (usually white). the holes are small enough that they won't be seen by others but YOU will still have your full range vision; perhaps get cheap shades, pop out the lenses and glue (or loop-wrap 20x thru the holes w/ string).

While it's true the glasses are more round in PW2, in Apollo Justice they are actually more oval in shape.

sharpie is removed by sunscreen. I made that up, but it does work.
