She's been sitting in the back of my mind for such a long time. I've planned this year I'll start her costume. I only have a slight hump I need to get over.

Her dress patterns and mainly her bandanna patterns. The dress I know I'll be sewing the designs on. The bandanna I'm weary of, I want it to look like hers but to also look like a convincing bandanna.
Would making the shapes from a scarf-like fabric work? I'm afraid of the material ripping and looking bad because it's so thin.
Or should I hem the pieces, GAH! I just don't know! ;3;

Hi, I just finished up a Luna costume this year!

The headscarf was tricky. I made two pieces rather than a single scarf because the art is drawn in a way that doesn't mimic reality at all. ^^ I used a sturdy cotton for my headscarf - originally I was going to use a pretty silky fabric, but it slid everywhere and I couldn't keep it on the wig... so that became a carrying satchel instead.

I have a detailed writeup on the cosplay page if you'd like to check it out. I also have some progress photos.

Best of luck!

I've been wanting to cosplay Nall from Lunar 2 in his human for forever but I keep pushing him back for a long time now. That's like my dream cosplay.

Anyway, I would suggest making it kind of like a quilt, rather than using the scarf materials for the dress. To me thats how it looks.

i think you could get away with scarf fabrick for the part that wraps around her hair, but for the part that's randomly a hat, you would probably have to get a stronger fabric, I sugges a very thin cotton satin blend, mor cotton than satin, that way it wont fray like crazy, but it'll still have some shean to it. also please ignore my hideous spelling

as far is color yu can eather batique it, meaning you individually dye each part with a paint brush while you cover the other peaces, i was taught to put thin layers of candlewax on the pars you aren't painting iwth dye because as long as it's thin droletts, it wont damage the iron when you iron it out ^_^
or you can peice the individual parts of it's design together.
I look forward to seeing how your costume turns out!!!
