Okay so, this is the first time I am working on a costume from scratch. I bought a nun simplicity pattern however Bridget's is less fabric on the dress and more on the hat part. I am not the best in math and I can't seem to figure out how much white and black I will need as opposed to what the pattern calls for. (I am going as black bridget.) The pattern calls for this:

hat and collar: 1 yd of 45"
interfacing: 22" to 25" wide fusible, 5/8 yd for neckline, 3/4 yd for hat
5 and 1/2 yd of black 45" total.

I have two weeks to finish this costume. Fast reply is appreciated!

For Bridget? I'd go with something like 2 yd of white, 3-4ish yd of black (and adjust accordingly for interfacing), but I'm thinking in terms of my own measurements..... What's your dress size?

Also, are you doing boot covers? You'll need maybe a quarter yard extra of each for those, I'd think.

I would suggest doing your pattern adjustments first. You can take your pattern pieces to the store and lay them out on the fabric you want to buy.
