Okay, getting started...one...two...go.

I'm one of the relatively newer cosplayers here in the west, and I decided to cosplay Miku Hatsune. Yes, one of the easier (?) cosplay for beginners.

I'm doing pretty well, have the whole cosplay together...except for the headphones. Now, I was just going to make them, however, I had a fun idea...that could potentially not exist XD

My one question is- Do mic headphones exist? (Don't laugh, I really don't know.) By Microphone headphones, I mean a headset that would literally allow my voice to be projected much like using a real microphone, attached to a pair of headphones? Does that technology exist yet, or would I still have to be "plugged in" ? I don't care about price or whatnot, I'm just really curious as to whether or not that technology exists yet, I don't get out much -laugh-.

I would love an answer to this question fairly quick, as I would like to complete this cosplay, I am rather fond of it ^^

Thank you for your time!

While I do not know if there's an actual microphone/headphone set for like singing on stage, there are wireless headsets used for pc gaming: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/562434-REG/Logitech_981_000068_ClearChat_PC_Wireless_Headset. html
This is not the only one out there, but they are easy to find, though wireless is more expensive than wired.

I'm confused about what you mean by "projected". There do exist headsets that have headphones (speakers) and a microphone combined, like ThakYuki said they're mostly used for PC gaming. They are fairly common-place now, your local Wal-Mart and computer stores would have them. Even office supply stores may have them; I got my favourite pair from Grand & Toy. There are plenty of different types, styles, etc, all with different prices.

If you mean a microphone that amplifies your voice so lots of people around you can here, you'd need some sort of speaker built into the system. That kind of thing may very well exist, but I'm not sure where you'd get them, if at all.

I know these are wired, but you can look at the Razer headsets, for PC gaming. Top Notch stuff.

To make clear:

I know gaming headsets exist, however I am not looking to game/call people/hook into a computer. I have found many mic headsets that allow me to function VIA PC interaction with other users, such as how a functional PC mic would work- Only with headphones attached.

I was merely curious as to the existence of headphones, that have a mic attached. NOT a gaming mic, like it may sound, but an actual microphone. You know those microphones that you speak into, and your voice is projected...such as stage microphones? I was wondering if the technology for a headset stage microphone fusion existed. Thanks for the PC gaming headset suggestions, though, however I already own one of those- They are fun, yet not what I'm looking for.

Probably do. But you'd need a speaker to project your voice from. I doubt they make them with the speakers built in. (For obvious reasons)

Edit: Looking at this again I think of the stage mic I used in a play once. It'd had a little speaker pack you attached to your hip like something Britney Spears would use. Or like the mic's in reality tv shows. However, I'm not sure that they've become wireless yet or not.
