Hi there. For my first official cosplay I am trying to do an AU Allen Walker. I have time to look for a wig, and I don't need contacts....but I'm stuck on clothes :eeek: I'm a girl. I don't know what he'd wear. I've seen a few AU Allens, but I don't have a lot of money (is spending most of wig) Any suggestions?

Well, I would say look at Victorian clothing and such since D.Gray-man is set in an alternate late 19th century. You could get some ideas what a boy his age would have worn and modify something like that.

Ah! Thanks! Like vests and stuff like that?

Yeah. You could do a three piece suit styled after the ones young men wore during the day, or even some of their evening attire, in the Victorian age. Men often wore pants (with suspenders, not belts) button down shirts (with sleeve garters if they weren't rich enough to have them tailored), vests, ties or cravats, and jackets. Top hats and other hats also were pretty much mandatory too. As well as gloves. Things were more decadent and proper back then. Just search Victorian men's fashion or even hit the Historical Costuming boards right here on cosplay.com for some inspiration.

As long as you keep things that will identify you as Allen, the Victorian style should work well for you.

Oh wow, that's an awesome idea. :D
I actually did an AU Allen cosplay for AX this year.
I called my self Rebel Allen cuz I was wearing stuff he'd probably wear if he was going through a rebellious stage according to today's terms. XD
