If you want help with Star Wars costumes, go to www.padawansguide.com. Mostly information on the prequels, but there is a link on the left in the frame to take you to a page that has info about the original trilogy costumes. I think (note, think) that there is a message board somewhere about starwars costumes. I was visiting it once, but have since lost the link when I had to reformat my computer. If I find it again, I will let you know.

Have fun and good luck!

I've done a Han Solo costume. (It was made in one night. Last minute decision costume... so it's all ghetto. XD)

I've also done a girl version of Han, I have a pictures of it somewhere. >_<

And in the future I'll be doing some Star Wars Expanded Universe costumes. (Tenel Ka; Young Jedi Knight: The Lost Ones cover... etc.)

Go to the Rebel Legion, they are the main Star Wars Costuming group for the good guys! They can help you locate very accurate parts for the costume. I've done Solo from A New Hope, had a lot of fun at Cons with it... If you need any help I can point you in the direction of people that make Solo parts too.

Go to the Forum area for Smugglers

I made a Han Solo costume when I was ten. It wasn't too hard (I did the vest over white shirt). Doing his jacket from later movies would be a bit harder.

I have too many SW costumes to list. To put it plain and simple if you do a Sw costume take your time and go as accurate as you can. Both Rebel Legiona nd 501st people can be accepting and picky all at the same time.

ooh! Star Wars cosplay is the best. I'm working on a new Mara Jade right now...

Han should be relatively easy, but don't forget the little details. :)

It`s great doing SW cosplay here in Japan...because there`s almost no-one else who does it! :)

I`ve got an Anakin-EP2 costume and a Darth Maul costume...but I usually do Maul because it really scares the locals....even walked through central Tokyo a couple of times...at night! :D

Edit: I added an older photo....I just like my glowing red pupils it that one...due to dehydration unfortunately!

I'm planning on doing a Bespin Leia costume for Toronto Trek....can't believe I never looked on the Padawan's guide before. I'd thought there were no good pics of that costume.....crap, I'll have a lot of embroidery to do. lol

Hmm, but isn't there a strong Japanese 501st Stormtrooper Outpost over there? Looking through some of the members' photo album also shows quite an amount, tho' most dwell in the Trooper or Jedi or Padme side?

Over in Singapore, the ones seriously doing it (as in had been on their costumes & armors for years now) are not that much either (and a lot smaller from what I had seen from Japan) but the small amount had kept majority of us close-knitted together. We also go to a "common" forum or have a connection to someone in the forum. This of course had lead some of us to subtracked into LOTR or The Matrix or Harry Potter Cosplay for the time beinging.

Not bad! :) My Sith Garb is Maul inspired (I just reverse the position of the sleeves) and my Inner Shirt is currently in the Darth Maul Sith Training Mode. :p The only thing stopping me from really doing Maul is the fact that I have very long hair and face paint (or even makeups) can't stay on my skin too long. :blubber: Got a couple more SW costumes on my list, both done, in-progress or planning.

I'm currently working on Padmé's flame dress from Episode I. The dress itself is almost all sewn, but I still have that pesky dyeing to do. :lost:

I recently started reconsidering doing that Outfit again after seeing some cheap Orange Velour at Spotlight (my plan is to use Orange and Yellow Velvet and then do the dyeing job). Always wanted to do the Handmaiden Travelling Outfit, maybe as Rabé or Sabé but the velvet and dyeing job (meaning I'm best getting Silk or Cotton Velvet) seems to be bugging me. Will see how.

I've wanted to make the flame dress for a while, but the dye job always intimidated me. I'm not sure how well it's going to turn out, but I'm going to give it a try anyway. So I say go for it, Serifita. ^_^ You never know how it will turn out unless you try. ;)

I hope you don't mind my asking, but do you post on the JC as well? I seem to remember someone posting there about using orange velour.
