I'm trying to find a pattern for Madame (http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg284/mini_kitten_o5/madamered_02.jpg) Red (http://img23.imageshack.us/f/65790290vj0.jpg/)'s jacket.

These are the closest patterns I've been able to find.

I'm just not sure either of those are fitted enough, plus hers buttons like a men's jacket...

Does anyone know a better pattern I could use, or how I could make one of these work?

You could always MAKE the pattern. But you might wanna try using a vest pattern then adding sleeves from another pattern. If I had time I would make you a pattern myself. I like that jacket

I still suggest this pattern: http://trulyvictorian.com/catalog/464.html

It's got a double pointed lapel, and it will need slight alterations on the tails and whatnot, but I honestly think it's one of the best ones to use for her. Yes, it's a bit expensive, but it's honestly very worth it. As for the way it closes, I've seen her's closed by like a woman's jacket as well as a man's, so don't worry about what direction you close it. The only thing you would do differently is put the buttons on the opposite side of the front instead as well as the buttonholes.

That's what I try to be here for^^ Can't always guarantee that I will be the most helpful, but I sure can try! As I stated previously, just ask if you have any other questions. Also, if you want to do pleats instead of ruffles on the skirt, then I have a quick tutorial I made up for someone on those in my galleries too. Beware though, they take A LOT of time to do because I measured them each as I pleated instead of using a pleating foot on my machine or doing the fork pleating method. I was just being SUPER picky about my pleats.
