Hi all! For my next project I am making a Dark magician girl outfit.

If I can't buy the boots, does anyone have any suggestions to help get me started on making them/ modifying other boots into them?

I really don't want to make boot covers that just slide over something else, I would like for them to be functional boots that I don't have to worry about falling apart if possible.

Any feedback is appreciated

Have you thought about making boot covers to go over an old pair of shoes? I'm using http://www.sarcasm-hime.net/bootcovers-tutorial.html this tutorial to make Jaeger boots and so far it's been pretty easy to follow.

Boot covers are great to use... and it's often cheaper to do it yourself.

But if you're in need of high quality and can afford commissioning someone, then I know of someone with the skillz to meet your need - Ryo-Wolffe on DeviantArt (http://ryo-wolffe.deviantart.com/)

Those costumes are great, but I'm not sure that this person's style is suitable to meet my needs. Thanks for the suggestion though! ^^
