View Full Version : Good Base Pattern for Catwoman?

I'm no pattern master. I can alter sizes and add and subtract parts but if I don't have a base to work with I'm up the river without a paddle with this stuff...

The recent GameInformer showed off the new Catwoman for the Arkham Asylum sequel, Arkham City (http://img375.imageshack.us/f/bat21280r.jpg/). Pretty much looks like the normal (http://www.majorspoilers.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02a/Catwoman_73_by_AdamHughes.jpg) Catwoman (http://clatl.com/images/blogimages/2010/08/03/1280865527-catwoman09.jpg)...except the fabric is different, but that design may need to be added after it gets put together.

I don't know where to start for the base, or if there's a pattern I can track down that can give me something to start with. Any suggestions?

I tried searching the forums. Maybe I used the wrong terms?

I haven't seen anything on here about it, but Googling "cat suit" comes up with a lot of info. Maybe try searching for "Plug Suit" or "Pilot Suit" on here (since they're kind of similar)? I remember seeing a translation of a magazine article on making (Gundam) plug suits somewhere on the forums here.

I used Kwik Sew 3052 for mine: http://www.kwiksew.com/catalog/cat_detail.cfm?pid=3052&Cat=Misses&Level=Leotards,_Activewear&QL=MissLeotards

I haven't uploaded it to cosplay.com yet, but here's a picture: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b233/celticfaerie/36831_778925724696_25513176_41811906_3945634_n.jpg
