Most large travel sites, like Orbitz and Travelocity, will be able to help you find hotel and plane rates. If that doesn't work for you, try calling a travel agent. They'll be glad to help you try to find a good deal.

*Sighs* Ya, I'm just trying to get my parents to let me go... do something by myself for once... *is gonna start ranting* I wish they would stop worryin' about me... I have a freakin' plan for Shinigami's sake...
Once the location of the Anime North hotel is announced, there will probably be information on the webpage re: hotels. You might be able to find a cheaper rate at other hotels using travelocity, etc., but you should wait and find out what rate the hotels the convention is at will offer because there's usually a convention-related discount. ^_^
Find out your flight cost.
Add Hotel (anything between 200-300$)
Add Food (0-80$)
Add toys and dealer room perchaces (0-godknowswhat)
Add 'extra' for transportation (subway and such) (0-10$)

Heya! I'm hopefully heading out of Winnipeg to, with a friend or two. (Though they don't understand anime like I *sobs*)
You could check on www.aircanada.ca (http://www.aircanada.ca) for a flight estimate (right now my computer is spitting out $134), however going through most travel agents (my family usually goes through Jet Vacations) will get you a cheaper price.
Westjet also can have some excellent prices to, and as I check, it is slightly cheaper then air canada at $127.
So, you're probably looking at anywhere from $100-$200 dollars for a ticket, depending if you can find a seat sale (watch out for those, they are excellent!), book early etc. If you have air miles try using those instead. (That's the only way I'm able to get out there^^.) If you can/allowed, find some one to split a room with at the con, my group is aiming for three people in a double room but hey, the more the merrier, espceially since we willl be at the Con most of the time anyway.
Good luck, and if you have any more questions don't hesitate to send an e-mail.
