I have decided to remake the top part of my toushiro cosplay as it became rather obvious to me that the sleeves on the karate gi jacket I was using were not as wide as they should be

So having trawled the web I finally found a pattern for making a karate gi top and now I just need to edit the sleeves of the pattern to make them wide enough

Problem being I have no idea how much bigger I need to make them, would just increasing it by 2x be enough or to much?

can anyone on here help me out?

When I have made Bleach tops, I add about three to four inches of width to my sleeves.
