Does anybody else cosplay as somebody or something from New Vegas? I mean I know its only been a few days since the game came out but I enjoyed Fallout 3 so much I got prepared for the next game and made a Vault 21 Dweller jumpsuit. I also happen to live in a desert like area so I might be making some videos in the cosplay once I get a Pipboy 3000.

But yeah anybody else cosplay Fallout: New Vegas?

I've been obsessing over making an NCR Trooper outfit ever since I got the game, I just have to motivate myself to start it. I also want to make a Legion outfit too because I have a feeling when the Fallout: New Vegas Cosplays start arriving...the Legion won't get as much love as some of the other cosplays from F:NV would.

Not so much a costume but I have just made a Nuka Cola Victory label.

I'm really undecided about making a New Vegas costume as the game has left me feeling cold. I wouldn't mind making Benny's suit but tracking down the jacket is proving tricky.

I'm going to make NCR veteran armor. What kind of material should I use?

The NCR Veteran Armour, which I believe is the chap on the box-art? It's actually relatively simple compared to other Fallout cosplays.

Basically the NCR Veterans wear LAPD Riot armour (If you look at them ingame you can faintly see the faded "LAPD RIOT" on the right of the chestplate), faded or stonewashed Rodeo Jeans, brown boots (Something like Chelsea boots would work, or work boots even) and the trench coat with the New California Republic bear on the side. The helmet looks to be a generic Vietnam era helmet which Im sure with the abundance of army surplus stores state-side, would be easy enough to find and the gas mask I believe there is a Pepakura file for somewhere on the internet although Im not 100% sure.

Then it just comes down to details and weathering. The Veterans are the badasses of the NCR so remember to really weather the stuff. These guys see action and it isn't pretty. Remember the little details too, the "08" on the neck piece of the armour as well as LAPD RIOT on the side, the "[7]" on the side of the helmet along with the tally-marks scratched in. Also don't forget the leather looking backpack that appears to be sewn to the back of the trench and from the box-art, it appears they also have a leather medical kit on their left forearm strapped on.

I'll be putting together an NCR Veteran of my own for next year, so I'll be sure to check back in here to give updates and such, see if I can't offer any help.

I'd encourage foam armor, it's what i'm doing for my NCR Veteran Ranger armor, which i started some time ago.

Nicely done.

This past Halloween, my oldest brother unintentionally made a NCR costume for the Village Halloween Parade. When he was telling me about his 'apocalyptic warrior of the road' costume, I told him it sounded like he was making said New Vegas outfit but he didn't really listen to me. Then one day while he was driving, he saw a New Vegas ad on a bus and saw that his 'original' idea has already been done. So he changed his outfit for the parade.

SOOOOO COOL! OK, so is that EVA/"weightroom" foam? I'm chiefly using sintra, home insulation foam, and resin casting, but I have been VERY interested in getting into EVA as the guy that did the ME2 N7 armor is ASTOUNDING... and now this... I'm dumbfounded...:burger:

the armor was indeed EVA foam just like EvilFX of bioweapons.com made for Mass Effect.

i've also rigged some LEDs into my helmet,
