So, anyone here planing on doing/working on a Fable 3 cosplay? Any particular character that you wish to see done? Need help putting together your ensemble? Look no further!

I myself am planing on doing something for next year at the earliest based on this (the outfit my female hero usually wears):
http://i335.photobucket.com/albums/m478/soren7550/100_1823.jpg

and I know I'm going to need tons of help finding/making the whole thing. I plan on using a fake flintlock pistol (even though I almost always use the Swift Regular rifle in-game. The pistol will just be easier to carry around) that I should have somewhere in the basement and for the sword I plan on getting one of these:

(no worries of performing one of the ultra uber cool finishing moves with that, but I know I'll still be tempted.;) )

As for characters I'd love to see, Ben Finn would be sweet to see.

I would like to do a Fable 3 costume sometime in the future. It's a toss up between the Mercenary set and the Princess set. As much as I love the series/game I'd probably do both depending on my financial status. lol!

Which princess outfit? (I for one love the practical one, but then again, that may just be me)

Turns out I can't find the pistol that I should have in the basement, and none of the Halloween stores by me had a flintlock. *sigh*

I actually chose the elegant one even in the game lol. Now after seeing the Queen outfit I might go for that instead (that is if I have money to spare for it).

We recently bought a pirate musket recently to be used for my husband's Pirate Spawn costume for next year...I think I might use it for my Fable costume if I do the mercenary outfit hehehehe.

I am doing a Fable III group for Anime Weekend Atlanta 2011, we already got a Male Hero (Me), Female Hero, Reaver, Jack Swift, Ben Finn, 2 Revolutionary's, and 2 Revolutionary Flag Holders.

I'm having the same problem you are Soren, I'm trying to find a way to get/make a flintlock pistol or rifle. I'm doing the Navel looking suit for the male Hero

You must post pics once the event is over.

And the not being able to find a flintlock isn't so much of a problem as it is stupid. (they have plenty of POS cutlasses but no pistols?)

And while at my brother's yesterday, I started leafing through one of his Museum Replicas Limited catalogs, and they have a mess of stuff in there that can be used for Fable cosplays. Some of the items (some? I think I mean most) are a bit pricey though.

Thats awesome, we both have almost identical female hero outfits! Mine is dyed purple and gold, has different gloves and the hair is short.

I'm so so so tempted to make a Fable 3 costume as either my hero's outfit or Kalin but my roster is full for 2011. I might persuade/force my boyfriend to be Ben Finn. :reverse: I have to admit yesterday I bought a ton of patterns in case I decide to make a costume (they were on sale, I couldn't resist!)

I will be on the look out for your pics when you get them up! That group sounds awesome.

So, I'm trying to formulate a way to backmount the sword so that it can appear as if nothing is really holding it there (like in the game) and I found these (there's also a lefty variant):
http://www.museumreplicas.com/p-1050-larp-leather-frog-right-handed.aspx

The thing is though, it's meant to be attached to a belt. So I'm thinking that I'll just have a belt across my chest but just cover it with the planed caplet. But the sword won't look like it's stuck to my back (since it might then be under the caplet if I'm thinking right). Bah! I really wish I could describe what I mean better, and that I knew what I was doing.

I've been looking into a Finn or actually making the Hal's Armor from Fable 2. haven't decided yet.

Well, I'd guess that Finn would be easier to pull off, but Hal's Armor might be a bit more recognized (although the recognition may just be limited to 'misshapen Master Chief' -_-').

I say go with Finn so that I may obsess -I mean drool over- I mean fanta-

complement your good work. (yeah, the above isn't creepy in any way! )

Between Finn and My Male Quarian from Mass Effect 2 my time is gonna be consumed. Been is gonna be ten times easier then the Quarian.

I am going as Fable 3 Reaver to the London MCM Expo 2011. I'm looking forward to wearing that awesome hat and coat of his. I can't wait!

I'm planning on going as Reaver to Youmacon 2011. Anyone have fabric/Pattern suggestions? I want to make his Dragonstomper, but I have no experience in making props. So I need help with pretty much everything.

The pistol should be fairly easy to pull off. Easiest way to make one is to get a pirate pistol, paint it black and maybe attach an ornate doodad onto it.

For fabric patters, I don't believe that Reaver's outfit in Fable 3 had any. I'm pretty sure that it was all solid colors.

I'm having my Reaver costume commissioned so I can't really help you. Plus they're making my gun as well.

An excellent item to use for gauntlets: wrist splints!

All you really need to do to them is paint 'em and add the guild seal and other small detail bits. (and yes, I did feel like lobbing a few fireballs while wearing that)

That's actually an awesome idea. I will have to do that part soon.

Mostly done my mercenary.

Right now I'm working on my Reaver cosplay/(crossplay since I'm a girl?) Just finished my cane today and it came out amazing, as did my hat! ^_^ Going to be attending megacon and maybe metrocon (both in FL) to debut it.

I've just started work on my practical princess cosplay. I'd been fretting about the gauntlets and wrist splints look perfect! I had been thinking about getting welding gloves and cutting off the fingers but I think they'd be too loose.

Have some progress with the Queen outfit. It is a big trial for me and a big pain in the behind. Right now I'm stressing over the pattern of the bodice/corset/breastplate/whateverthingymajig. Making it over and over, and it seems like whatever I do it's not fitting right. I'm tempted to do it directly on the wonderflex but don't want to waste it if I make any mistakes. ARgh! Oh well must persevere!

How are you guys doing with your projects? I rarely see any Fable III or II or I out there.

Sweet! Thanks for updating this thread! I had not found it until now.
I am wanting to work on a hero king outfit (my character). I've been trying to detail out the props first though: gauntlets, sword, rifle, and of course crown. The sword has to be Mr. Stabby. My personal favorite just from the name alone. I'm working on the lighting effect for them now. They have to be able to glow, for me, anyway.
@Wenora - the outfit looks completely amazing. Can't wait to see the final.

Had to dig this thread up than making a new one.
I hope so too that it will turn out ok.
@tn scotsman: nice, I never thought of making light up weapons. The rifle will be just a normal pirate prop gun I got during holloween and alter it a little with the details of an upgraded weapon. I don't have the skills making things light up lol. I'm still wondering if I will include the glowing tatoos. If I have some funds left I'll get that body paint that glows or something like that.

@Wenora: I had not thought about glowing paint for the tattoos. That is a great idea. The weapons are going to be a challenge, but my plan is (please note this is just the plan):
sculpt the weapons is a solid medium. clay, foam, etc
cut sculpt in half
make vaccuform molds from clear plastic of each half (I am in the process of making my own vaccuform table. w00t!)(also I like parentheses)
wire in LEDs, power, and switch
glue halves together
paint
pray it works

Awesomesauce!

My original plan of making my usual outfit has pretty much died due to a severe lack of funds. I can still plan it just in case though, right?

I plan on going as a Male hero to Nebraskon 2011. I don't know which outfit yet but I am making a BK crown Into the kings crown, and I'm buying leather gauntlets and I'm wiring lights to then for 'magic'. I'll prolly get a wooden cap gun and makeshift it into a flintlock pistol. And I want to use a sword but it may be easier to make a wooden hammer with the designs.
