Okay so it's not necessarily needing a cosplay...I kind of already have one. I just need an idea of how to go about it.

I really wanna cosplay Dead Master from Project Black Rock Shooter OVA because my friend is cosplaying a male BRS right now. I finally watched it...and him being my friend and kind of rival in a way I want to cosplay a male version of Dead Master.

Her outfit however is really girly...and well...I dont really wanna wear tights and a dress. So any ideas you guys on cosplay.com have would be really helpful.

so you want to make a male version?

I'd swap out the tights for 3/4 pants, black, and then swap the dress for a knee-length black leather trenchcoat that you can button up the front.

Otherwise, if you wanted to be a little closer to the current look, perhaps something similar to a kung fu outfit (http://www.trueswords.com/images/prod/c/kung_fu_uniform_540.jpg) and lengthen/shorten as needed. If you weren't going for 3/4 pants, something like breeches (http://renfairshoppe.com/images/knee_breeches2.jpg) would also give a similar effect, if drawn to the calves with a drawstring and then let to flare out.

Is this basically what you were after?

I'm working on the same thing. I'm mixing a the style from the opening fight part in the OVA which is a little diffrent from the rest of the OVA with the main outfit. In the opening outfit she has tall knee high boots with the spikes on them, shorts with a white belt. Her top is made up a black half jacket with two white stripes down the sleevesand a bikini top.

As far as construction, here are some options.

Horns: You can order the horns online if you want, I have seen them for sale.

Shoes: I'm going with the boot with knee spikes from the opening. I'm looking for a pair of boots with a simular style right now, but more then likely have to make boot covers that go that tall. Foam Latex or aplostry foam for the spikes on the knees.

Wig: Fairly easy, you can find a simular wig at most cosplay wig stores.

Weapon: Not sure what weapon I will make for mine since she has a Sword, Scyth, Chains, and the skulls. Since I will be attending comiket in this I won't be allowed to carry a weapon so I might go with the chains or skulls.

Top: I am still not sure what I will do for this myself since her outfit is pretty girly. I am looking at a black shirt with a more squared collar. I like ubercaledor's idea for the trench idea. In the opening fight she has the short jacket and a bikini top, Just the jacket would be fine if you want to do that version. Just make sure you don't have a gut if you do.

Leggings/pants: I already have a pair of black shorts and pants to use. I got both from Wallmart when I lived in the USA still. In the dress version of her outfit she has a white bow on the waist and in the shorts version its a white belt. So its just a judment call at that point.

Belt: I plan to use a white belt either way. I found a white belt at a local store here by chance a few days ago that is perfect. It was made my Affiction. I will post a pic of it on my cosplay.com photos soon. I looked at thier online store but wasn't able to find the belt so I can't give you a link.

Claws: They are costume gloves out there that give that clawed look, this is an option and so it using a normal pair of gloves and using latex / foam to make the claws on them.

Claw/Wings: She has what looks like claw-wings on her back. I am considering using foam to make them and covering them in a layer of latex. Doing a male version, I would and am planing to make them larger.
