Where are there any good, old fashioned photobooths in California? Like, superman status booths.

Something like this: http://kottke.org/plus/photos/200107uk/phonebooth.jpg

I live in San Francisco during the school year, and in Laguna Beach during the holidays. So I've got quite the scope of California to take pictures at.

I wanted to do a total super hero shoot, and without a phonebooth... I would feel like I'm missing a huge part of the potential.

I haven't seen one of these phonebooths since i was little, and it was with my parents when i was 6, at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. So if you know of any of these existing in modern day California (preferably within an hour of San Francisco or Laguna Beach), then I'd be grateful ^^ Thanks

There's one that looks just like that (UK style) at UC Davis. More specifically, it's at the Memorial Union bus terminal where the B line is. Apparently, the phone inside actually works.

I've come across 2 in the orange county area:

Five Crowns Restaurant
3801 E Coast Hwy, Corona Del Mar, CA 92625-2599
i found a photo online with the phone booth in the background:

Old Ship Pub
1120 West 17th St
Santa Ana

sadly, the booth (behind) the Old Ship pub was in terrible condition when I visited over a year ago, so probably wouldn't be in usable condition for your purposes.

In general, I'd search the english pubs in your area.

Good luck!
