Hello Everyone! It's 3 AM and I have decided to create a Mass Effect costume, but I have no experience in costume making so I would like to start with the weapons to gain a little experience first.

I am going try to modify a Nerf Raider into the M-97 Viper:

My plan is to add some bulk to the gun and dremel the detail out. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use? (maybe some kind of adhesive to fill small details and some sort of hard plastic for large areas)

I'd say PVC pipes for the rounded bits, and styrene sheets (a smooth moldable plastic) for the extra details. At least, thats what I would do but I've made only one ME2 gun xD
