Hey yall!!

Does anyone here would have an idea how to make Harley Quinn's giant hammer please? Preferably not too difficult or expensive to make and not too heavy to carry...

Thanks a lot!

I'm a big fan of the papier mache / wonderflex combo... But, there may be another way to go about it and still keep it light. I'm not thinking of an alternative at the moment though.

Which version of the hammer are you wanting to make? A simple mallet shape can be made several ways, but if you're looking to do something more involved then reference pictures would be nice.

I know I'm always mentioning the other forum I frequent, but Elizabeth Amber over there who posted a really great how-to in this thread (http://thesuperherocostumingforum.yuku.com/topic/1851/Harley-Quinn-props) (scroll down a few posts) Anyway, the how-to involves making Harley's hammer using an empty oatmeal container, plasti-dip spray, a dowel rod, and a few other easily (and cheaply) found items.

Maybe small desk waist baskets??... like a bedroom garbage pale, take two of them and glue them on a wooden broom handle or something.. and go from there... add papermache and paint... It'll be light in weight and easy/fun to make!!
