I quit cosplaying a while back, so I ended up taking pictures for my sister. I only dabble in photography but recently I have become more involved in it. I am mainly wondering what other techniques I can try to make the photos more interesting without losing the subject. Here are some of the pictures that I have taken:
My Internet is running sloooow so I didn't post many. If you guys need more, just ask.
p.s. I have a back bone so have at it...

1) Well composed and good use of light. Sasuke's pose seems very unnatural though. The hand on the wall should have the palm on the wall and it's hard to tell that the other hand is resting on the sword. In a shot like this, they should probably be facing each other and "in the moment" rather than at the camera. If I'm reading the shutter speed right (weird Nikon notation), it's 1/10, which is a bit slow and the slightest hint of camera shake makes it seem less sharp than it could be.
2) Good use of light. I'm not really sure what it's a shot of though, but it's decent. If she had her chin up a bit or was sitting more straight, you would probably not get the shadow in the upper eye sockets and less of a "raccoon" look. The cropping on her legs is bad. The crop makes them look like stumps.
3) The lighting on this shot is bad and over exposed. The ground is blown out of most detail. You have to be especially careful of your exposure in scenes with lots of white or lots of black. I hate seeing cut off toes. If you can include the feet, you can include the toes. You could've tried for an even higher angle to hide the fence in the upper left background as it's slightly distracting.
Thanks for sharing and good luck! :)
