Seriously now, what's up? Anything interesting? Just got your license? Eating a breakfast burrito? How's college? How's High school? Do you enjoy your job, hate it? Love life? hate life?

Bring it on my fellow humans.

Not very much, honestly. I'm done with my lecture for the day and now I'm just killing time mooching on the internet. I went earlier to cash in a cheque and, come Friday when it's cleared, I'll be a happy Ł250 richer than I was :)

Talking about food... hot sausage rolls from Greggs. Life = made.

Also, I just walked with my friend to the train station - he walks through my uni to get to and from work so I join him because it's a nice talking opportunity. He brought me my K-ON! poster that I bought from MCM expo and left at his house, haha. Now to find my Blu-Tac!

Umm. I'm trying to find a new job so that when our lease is up in May, my boyfriend and I can get a place just the two of us without roommates. I like my current job a lot, but if I don't get more hours/a promotion/something soon I just can't do it anymore. I'm excited for upcoming cons but I'm more excited for things like our planned roadtrip up to Ashland in July for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. :)

today is sort of boring, if only because roomie has the day off work (yay i get to torment him!) but lil man is also out of school so no going anywhere because he can be a pain sometimes. wednesday my mom and i are having a "girl's day out" while he's at school, which is something we haven't done for a long time ^_^ and my parents are taking lil man with them to visit family in minnesota, which i'm a little nervous about but looking forward to at the same time because it's another very quiet long weekend. he's 5 so plenty old enough, but has never been away from me long distance like that

maybe so, but i noticed you like to respond to people who generally take your comments as attacks and it degenerates into rudeness from all involved... and that's why threads get locked. better just to not go there at all, and when people clearly don't like each other, don't comment on each other's posts. that's not directed at any 5 people in particular, but everyone here. let's not keep getting threads locked ok?

I had an audiogram today as part of a medical assessment for a job this summer. It was pretty neat! They would play a ringing or buzzing noise in one side of a pair of headphones and it would get steadily quieter; I had to press a Jeopardy-style button every time I heard the noise. I'm not sure how well I did, but I could hear some of the faintest noises. It's kind of strange, but some noises are so faint that you can feel them more than hear them, if that makes sense.

Maybe I was a dog in another life. That would've been pretty awesome. Sleep all day and get tummy rubs, aww yee.

I haven't had one of those since I was in grade school. Dang! Sometimes I had trouble on them; I wound up puncturing my own ear drum with a q-tip when I was wee, and it took a while to regain all my hearing on that side.

Yeah, they didn't turn out quite as I had hoped. But, I was quite the noob to cosplay and dying/bleaching my hair back then. Before that, I had never even attempted changing my hair color. But, I learned from the experience. =) Also, I believe my eyebrows were back to normal after a few weeks. So, it wasn't too bad. I really liked the look of the white hair on top of my dark roots after I cut it short and my hair grew out again. My girlfriend at the time and several others complimented it as well. I'm thinking after I do the next cosplay, I'll go back to Toushiro and bleach it again. :D

Speaking of buzz cuts, that was (is?) a huge trend for guys at Wilfred Laurier University in my province. They figured out that once they get buzz cuts, girls want to fluff their hair/feel their heads, so they get more attention that way. Lolwut.

I love short, buzzed hair on guys, but if they're a cocky asshole like these guys seem to be, then I don't care how nice their hair is, I wouldn't really want anything to do with them. And I think shaggier hair is more in style for guys now. Which I hate, looks stupid IMO.

Yes, my hearing's pretty decent now; I was lucky enough not to do any permanent damage.

SV was just walking in the door with take-out from one of my favorite local restaurants (we'd intended to go out but I started feeling light-headed, and obviously it was a good decision to stay home), and there I was, retching my brains out. I'm trying to manage by eating frequent small meals; lots of dry, bland foods; getting plenty of liquids. Still kind of a pain, though. I keep hearing "if you're sick it's a good thing, it means the baby's healthy and growing," which is wonderful. I just wish the baby would come up with a less horrific way to tell me that.

SV has rocked short hair for ages. I tend to like longer hair in general, but it'd look weird on him. I never understood the compulsion to go up and touch other people's hair, but I do see a lot of women rubbing his head. What the hell, women? Leave a dude's hair alone. Especially if he is my dude.

Well, I'm genderqueer, and as I was explaining this to my mother, she and I began pondering what life would have been like had I been born with opposite genitalia.

Here's what we came up with:

I'd be slim and fast, but not a sports player.
I'd be sensitive, but not brooding.
I might play a guitar.
I'd probably have ranked a place or two higher in the top ten percent in high school, simply due to the difference in pressures put on girls and boys in high school. (Girls are conditioned to put more emphasis on relationships, etc.)
I might be a history major and a creative writing minor, rather than the reverse (my current major and minor.)

But, the weirdest thing:
I'd have married the girl who's been my best friend since I was five. And we'd be incredibly happy.

Thinking about this sort of made me realize that I'd been in love with her throughout most of my life. But, of course, I just thought I was a tomboy, I wasn't attracted to most women, and I was attracted to men, so I just thought we had a very intense best-friendship. I never let myself think about how I ACTUALLY felt about her, other than identifying extremely heavily with Idgie and Ruth in Fried Green Tomatoes (the movie...in the book, they're actually lesbians.)
I had no idea one could be genderqueer or pansexual. Now, in my twenties, I've only recently realized that I am both.
It would have only worked if I'd been a guy, though. She's totally straight, married now and all that stuff. And I've got a boyfriend with whom I am currently in love.

I have no intention of ever telling her, but I just wanted to write it, you know?

Sorry if this is too much information, or awkward, or strange. *...sneaks away.*

i swear i just now saw this ><

OH yeah, the house is in much need of a deep cleaning which is impossible while either of the boys are home :P cleaning is definitely not my specialty (i HATE it!) but it needs to be done

i'm glad you liked that ^_^

@ hair dye and bleaching: i've not had my natural color since before my son was born, but i'm pretty careful to let my roots grow out and then cut all the old color out before using the next. the exception was bleaching last year, and i just made sure to use conditioner daily since i had to bleach my roots three times over the course of the summer. i went black over the winter, and am going back to blonde next weekend

(incredibly cute story!)

i know the feeling. one of my closest friends is 5 1/2 years younger than me and i've known her since she was 6. i was always the person she turned to for support since she was the youngest and her older siblings constantly picked on her and sometimes she felt like her parents didn't care. right before i moved, there wasn't anything i wouldn't do for this girl, and sometimes i just wanted to snatch her up and run away. i could never tell her though, we were both raised an pretty strict "christian" houses where homosexual relationships were not accepted. she ended up marrying a kid i went to high school with, and when i was out there 5 years ago i told him if he ever did anything to hurt her no one would ever find his body ^_^

we're not nearly as close as we used to be, but when i moved it was at the point of almost being awkward, and she is happy with her life so i'm happy for her even though my life sometimes seems like it's falling apart

Sunday my friend Jen was moving and a bunch of us got together to help her load up the truck and move her stuff from one apartment to the next. So Saturday night I slept at Boyfriends. Mid Sunday it began to snow..and snow..and didn't stop.

I just had a disturbing realization. One of those things where you suddenly understand a situation, but it doesn't make it any better.

Part of the reason I've been completely avoiding a community that I've been a part of for years is because they disregard real issues as "drama," but brew insignificant stuff into actual drama then treat it like it's a worthy issue. All without any self-awareness that the very people bitching about "too much drama" are the ones who are both interfering with important business and later creating a whirl of actual drama over stupid stuff. It's like a Twighlight Zone episode.

Which is making me exhausted, resentful and irritated, to the point that I just don't want anything to do with the community because I don't have the energy for it. Then I feel further resentful that I'm even in that position.

on the positive side, my cat is adorable. :D

Ah, I know that feeling. Being a grownup and caring about real issues sucks sometimes.
LOL. preach on, preach on.
The worst part is that all of these people are adults, some of them are old enough to be grandparents; they just aren't grown ups.

I feel like I need to explain that yes, sometimes there are unpleasant issues in life [that directly affect the community], but unpleasant doesn't automatically equal drama. Pointing out an unpleasant issue isn't drama. Trying to find a productive way to deal with an unpleasant issue isn't drama. Having an unpleasant issue thrust upon you by chance isn't drama.

Drama is when you make a big fuss about insignificant things and turn something simple into something complicated. Drama is when you take out your personal problems on the people around you. Drama is when you sow distrust and rumors.

I'm tired of having to deal with the crap because no one else will, but meanwhile they'll all still be happy to bitch about it. Being the grown up is a thankless job. Hell, being a human being is a thankless job. And I've had enough of that in my life already. It's still sad, though.

I think it's fun to see women doing the whole Jason Statham/Bruce Willis thing sometimes, but I don't like that to be the limited definition of "strong" either. That's why I specifically said "action heroes" instead of "strong."

Sometimes the strongest characters are the ones you'd least expect. Every time I watch Sherlock Holmes I'm struck by how smart, courageous and self-possessed Mary is -- I adore her character and what the actress brought to the role -- even though Irene Adler is the one who is supposed to be all action and strong.

[Ignoring the first part of the comment because it's irrelevant to me whether they are considered pretty or not.]

Sady Doyle on strong women in film (http://sadydoyle.tumblr.com/day/2011/02/22):

# Having a female character swing a sword around is the only thing a writer or director ever needs to do in order to establish that she is Strong.
# Action scenes performed by women, in your hallucination, are NOT typically performed by actresses with dainty girlish frames and smooth, feminine, non-muscular physiques. Because there is nothing wrong with those physiques, James Lileks, except that they are not at all intimidating physically and do not connote the actual, physical strength a girl would realistically need to beat up dudes, or handle most weapons. Thus, outside of your hallucination, we can say that action scenes starring women are often framed so as to render women less than intimidating, and more culturally palatable. A cute, tiny girl with a sword is acceptable and kind of adorable — she’s like a dog wearing people clothes! Or those cards with the little kids kissing each other! — but a girl with real biceps throwing a real punch is scary and gross. But in your hallucination, James Lileks, Keira Knightley is built like a lady boxer! So we can avoid that problem entirely!

I do love me some Sady Doyle of a Tuesday evening.

And I don't care how terrible that movie is, I'm going to watch the hell out of it.

sorry if my prior post seemed humorless, I was in a hurry.

Sherlock Holmes the recent film? I still havent seen it.
Yes, the one with Robert Downey, Jr. I've seen it several times; I found it very entertaining. The soundtrack is wonderful, the writing is interesting and the film style is fun. It was nice to see a Holmes and Watson story that was far more gritty than it was Masterpiece Theater.

The only complaints I had are:

1) the sound quality is sketchy (at least in my copy) making it literally impossible to decipher much of the dialog, which is a shame because the dialog is important throughout. The mangy British accent Downey speaks doesn't help with comprehension either. I suggest watching it with the closed captioning on, much better.

2) the actress that plays Irene Adler seems terribly miscast and it bugs me every time I watch the film. First, she's far too young to make the role believable. Nearly all of the characters, including the main ones, look to be in their 40s-50s. Maybe mid 30s at the youngest. So having this young girl who appears barely in her early 20s tromping among much more mature folk just looks odd and out of place. Worse, she's supposed to be Holmes' most challenging opponent, someone to be threatened by, a world-traveled and highly accomplished woman --- and that's just not believable coming from someone who looks like she's barely old enough to order a beer.

Second, the actress doesn't have the gravitas and energy that the film sets up for the character. She's ok in a one of the early scenes, where you see her deal with street thugs [avoiding spoliers here], but everything else she just seems flat. She's too cutesy. But that may just be my own personal bias.

um... that was probably more than you needed to know. Apparently I was feeling quite thorough. And I rhymed. dang.

If only Hollywood considered it irrelevant.

I do love me some Sady Doyle of a Tuesday evening.
Ooh, I did not know of Sady Doyle. Thanks, that was a fun read. :)

I agree with so much of that. Though I will say that physical strength isn't always apparent by one's build. For example, the stuntwoman Zoe Bell is a frickin machine, but she's not someone who has a ripped physique. (Speaking of Zoe Bell, Angel of Death is fun if you want to see some very realistic and gritty female fighting. There are some HARSH fight scenes in that.)

Another example: when I was in shape I was similar in build to Kiera Knightly or Milla Jovovich (slight, but with a bit more curves) and I honestly was a fair brawler. ;) I accidentally left a softball-sized bruise on a guy when I punched him in jest, not even full strength.

But I totally get the writer's point about how female action heroes typically need to look cute, soft and non-threatening. And I'd love to see a greater variety of builds -- everything from Amazonian to body builder to athletic.

And I don't care how terrible that movie is, I'm going to watch the hell out of it.
If you mean Sucker Punch, then so am I. ;) I can't judge it until I've seen it and the visuals look like a lot of fun.

I was just having a "aw, Linda Hamilton/Sigourney Weaver, where have you gone?" moment. Even Carrie Ann Moss in The Matrix was allowed to be more powerful than sex-object, despite the full vinyl outfit.

I have tried and tried and I just cannot get into Stargate, beyond the original film. I've tried the tv show and the subsequent films. It's been running for so long that I feel like I missing out by not joining in, but apparently I don't resonate on its frequency.

That bums me out, because Rachel McAdams (who is 32, by the way!) being in Sherlock Holmes made me so happy. She's not amazing actress but I really like her just... being there. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law really made that film, though.
aw, sorry, didn't mean to bum you out. :) I actually don't have a problem with her as actress elsewhere, I just couldn't buy her as Adler. She looks too young and fresh-faced, especially when compared to all of the other world-weary faces in the film. Even the actress who played Mary looked far more mature than McAdams, which made McAdams feel that much more out of place for me. Though I have to say, rock on to McAdams for having such good genes -- looking 22 at 32. ;)

<Sherlock Holmes overview>

Funny how tastes differ, I wasn't very enamored with that movie. Admitedly, I watched it with expectations in mind, which were sadly not met. The action felt very out of place in a Sherlock Holmes movie, so did some of the strange sequences/humor. It felt a lot like Tony Douchebag Stark being cast in the role of Sherlock Holmes 'Because Iron Man caught on', same actor, same personality.

In a way, it was very much like the Count of Monte Cristo movie that was made in America, it was lacking in many aspects, had action sequences that really had no place in the story and the characters' personalities were altered according to 'popular' archetypes of the time. A few core aspects remained, the rest felt a little like fluff and the producers catering to the average movie goer.

On that last bit, I'd heartily recommend the European boxset of the Count of Monte Cristo over the american movie for anyone who can watch it in original french.

My best friend came over to watch Easy A. He got a phone call that his house was on fire so he left immediately. Him and his family are fine and I'm so happy they're alright.

I come home and one of my boyfriend's friends writes a status saying Oh there's a fire at *place*. His friend comments about it. Friend that made status says Oh let's check it out!
I wrote why the apartment was on fire followed with "I don't appreciate when people think it's radical to check out my best friend's apartment being burned doww."

:(. They're okay which is great, but now I'm just annoyed. Ugh.

Happier note: Anyways, got some YuYu Hakusho dvds today, woohoo.

This is partially why I will never get around to watching the movie, and its upcoming sequel.

And in other news, I wish dad's side of the family would learn how to clean properly for once and not influence him to clean so dirtily. I hate when I have to rewash ALL the dishes again because it's all still dirty, has food residue, and not washed well. I know he's trying to help but he's not helping. And every time I tell him that he ignores me. WTF man!? He used to was well but augh...and I'm already too tired to clean the kitchen after all the mess he made. I'll just clean the kitchen tomorrow morning.

I can respect that. I mean, I don't think it's Citizen Kane, but as an action-mystery it's a fun film. The score really is great, though. Sort of classic Irish violin, not the kind of thing used in a lot of films.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was a fictional take on a cattle prod using the Leyden Jar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leyden_jar) concept.

The movie had fairly loose representation of gadgets and tools of the time or Holmes universe (If I can even call it that), it was done more alongside the lines of leaving awe in the audience (Like: "Whoa, that is so cool" when the dude kind flies back in a comical manner), not for the act of actually putting what was happening under scrutiny (The depth of the content was... shallow).

But intelligence only predicts about 50% of college success... a huge chunk of the rest is hard work and perseverance. You're learning those last two things in the Marines. So next time around, if college is really what you want, remind mom that it doesn't matter if you graduate first or last in your class; if you want it that bad, you'll do it- and go for it!

I'm with Nanny on this one: depending on which school you go to, and I'm sure this applies to more than you'd think, high "intelligence" is NOT a mandatory requirement. I work at a college, and I've seen students that have some pretty complex learning disabilities go on to earn degrees because they're hard workers and they get help when they need it. Of course, our college doesn't have the highest standards in the country, but anyway: you CAN do it. I'm personally not big on college, but if it's something you want and you believe you have a shot, I say take it. Especially because you probably get educational reimbursement through the Marines, right? My mom is like the ultimate dream-destroyer; I'm almost 29 and I'm still dealing with her criticism and discouragement, so I've been there. Don't let it stand in your way, though. This is YOUR life, not hers.

So my roommate is filing for a Mediation, and is going to try and switch rooms. She said its nothing against me, she's just "psychotic OCD clean freak". And, frankly, i am a very messy person. I have my books on the coffee table, a box of candy next to me on the couch, an unpacked suitcase of clothes next to my bed, all my various cosplay wigs sitting on my keyboard... and my purse on the chair? Its really not TOO bad, but it is to my germaphobe roommate.

Thing is, every time she asks me to clean up something, i do it about two seconds later. When she told me i left my socks in the bathroom, i apologized and went and put them away. When she told my my boot left a scuff mark on the bathroom floor, i went and wiped it off. When she told me I forgot to wash out my cup in the sink, i went and just did all the dishes. When she tells me i did something wrong, i fix it.

Thing is, she didn't tell me ANYTHING. She just came to me today, said she was trying to change rooms, and theres a mediation tomorrow.

Mediation means her complaining about me to the RA and then she changes rooms in a week or two. AWKWARD.

LOADS of tracks. There's about eight going across our yard (most in pursuit of mice, too) over the last few days, but the outdoor surveillance cameras AND me watching has yielded not a single glimpse. Sigh. If I coud get ONE LOOK, I'd be a lot happier. 'cause I miss the little foxies.

^I've heard unpleasant things about the stuff, particularly that the peroxide in it just DESTROYS your skin (Moisturize. A lot. That'll save a lot of it and help your acne). ESPECIALLY if you don't go to a proper ProActive sales counter in a store and buy it from an actual sales associate (An acquaintance of mine sells the stuff, at a proper sales counter in the drugstore. When you buy from them you get proper instructions on how to use the items, all the needed pieces with the starter kit AND you're shown how to apply most of it in a back room)
also, acne really is rarely caused just by a dirty face. It's mostly hormonal imbalances. We don't get zits in our teens because we stopped washing.:P (It can definitely make it worse, but nooooo way is it the sole cause)

Did you know: Proactive and other various cosmetic products contain urea, which is extracted from pee.

Maybe that is why you are experiencing said facial irritation.

Today I had to find a polite way to tell my bf, "please, for the love of everything holy, just give me even 10 little minutes of quiet time when I wake up, because if you keep relentlessly jabbering at me I'm going to stab you in the face." ;)

For years I got up much earlier than my bf. Now that his schedule is different he gets up earlier than I do. And he's developed this habit of wanting to show me EVERYTHING he's encountered since he woke up, as soon as I get out of bed. The moment I sit down, literally, he bombards me with every video, meme, article and news story he's seen since I've been asleep. I haven't eaten yet, I barely had time to pee, I'm not even processing what he's showing me... and yet he continues with this habit.

Which makes me super cranky because (a) I don't care, I just want some food; and (b) I want some time to adjust to being conscious before I'm bombarded with the horrors of the world. I've tried to explain to him that I don't like this and I need some quiet time to adjust when I first wake up. That I'd be happy to see all this stuff AFTER I'm functionally conscious. I thought he'd understand this because when he was the one walking up last he required an hour or more of "leave me alone" time -- he was like an angry bear waking up from hibernation.

This morning I tried to make this very clear, again, using polite words. But if he does this again tomorrow I'm using the "seriously, I will stab you in the eye and smother you while you sleep" language. ;)

My awesome friend who punched a Zebra in the face had a nervous breakdown yesterday. :(
I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope they recover soon.

hee. I love that "don't mind me, I'm just going about my business with a plastic bag on my head" part. It's dead sexy. ;) btw, if you use a hairdryer for about 15 minutes over the bag you can help the color set for longer. just keep it moving and use a diffuser if you have one.

Now having rainboots, I hope it rains hard today! Come on rain and puddles! I can take ya on with my rainboots and umbrella!

[edit: didn't see your followup post when I wrote this. but maybe it's helpful anyway.]

If it's not threatening or harassing (just annoying) I used to wear headphones and listen to music. Not loud enough that it would impair my safety, but loud enough that I could listen to music and only hear indistinguishable murmuring of catcalls in the background. Not hearing the specifics made me less irritated.

It really depends on what they're saying and how they're doing it. Frankly telling them you're not interested, or to go away usually works. Though half the time they call you slurs before leaving no matter how polite you are, because they're classy like that. Taking their photo can work. Most of the time I just flip them off if they're yelling from across the street or from a car. Whipping out your cellphone and calling for assistance can work -- "I'd like to report a man harassing and following me, I'm at [street] and [street]." I suggest doing that if it's beyond irritating and is actually harassing or threatening.

If you're isolated and really creeped out I found spitting is a surprisingly effective deterrent. For reals. I was once walking down the street and this uber sketchy guy blocked my way to give me what he considered a compliment and what I found gross and rude. In pure reflexive disgust, without thinking about it, I immediately spat at his feet and gave him a look that likely indicated my disgust. He got annoyed and grossed out, mumbled something and went away. Leaving me standing there going, "huh. so spitting works. how about that." I'm not like, a regular spitter or anything, but I have done that on occasion where I felt threatened or really disgusted and could tell the individual was not capable of understanding normal human talk.

Speaking of disgusting...

The other day I had this crazy idea. It occurred to me that instead of having to play nice social games with people who are both rudely interrupting my time and relentlessly ignoring the "I'm not interested" signals... I could start a social experiment based on grossing out the "flirter" to end things quickly and clearly. So the next time someone is relentlessly hounding me I'm going to just loudly declare:
[text whited out so as not to offend delicate sensibilities]
"I HAVE A YEAST INFECTION! YEP, NOTHING BUT YEAST YEAST YEAST DOWN THERE!"
or maybe
"I'M ON MY PERIOD! I'M JUST SPEWING BLOOD! I'M WEARING 3 TAMPONS AT ONCE RIGHT NOW!"
...I expect some interesting results. ;)

none of that may be helpful, but hopefully it was at least entertaining.

*L* I'm glad I'm not the only one who has to whip out the "I will stab you" on occasion. ;) Like, it'll be weeks or months of me nicely reminding him to do or not do something, then at some point I've had enough and break out the stabby threats. Usually we laugh about it after.

Strangers asking you for a kiss-- that is street harassment. I mean, maybe some women like that kind of treatment, but for a lot of us it's not flattering, cute, or attractive: it's uncomfortable, embarrassing, and even threatening.

Ignoring them is usually a good tactic; they're doing it to provoke a response, and if you don't give it to them, most of the time they give up. Or they call you insulting names. Funny how you go from being a hot piece of a** to a frigid b**** in less than 15 seconds when you don't give them what they want, huh? Otherwise, seriously-- snap a picture, put it up on Hollaback.

Clearly not, if those stories depressed people, then they clearly don't have a real sense of happiness and need to examine their lives.

I would post a charming story of a man leaving wall street to achieve his dreams in hopes of sparking conversations about what we all really want to do in life, but that would get tossed back into that other thread so we have more room for threads on cats, laugh or lose, time wasters etc. because serious business is like... totally lame.

Seeing relentless human suffering (riots, attacks, earthquakes, bombings) or blatant ignorance and abuse of power (Italy, Wisconsin, budget issues) when you can't do anything about it can understandably leave someone feeling depressed. In the "sometimes the world is big and everything sucks" way.

Perhaps I'm just not empathetic enough, but I believe that falls under the "things you can't change" part of that one Christian prayer, the Serenity Prayer. While I'm not Christian, I do believe the wording of the prayer is pretty useful, even if I'm not asking "God" for it and just relying on myself. =)

God (or not),
grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

I would post a charming story of a man leaving wall street to achieve his dreams in hopes of sparking conversations about what we all really want to do in life, but that would get tossed back into that other thread so we have more room for threads on cats, laugh or lose, time wasters etc. because serious business is like... totally lame.

I'm only 50% bitter. Honest.

In my defense, all I did was leave that consolidation suggestion. I didn't expect a mod to step in like that. I wasn't trying to cramp your style at all.

You know, finding pictures of that costume I wore at Dragon*Con would be a lot easier if my camera hadn't disappeared on Halloween after that Dresden Dolls concert.

Whoops-- did I just say something about cosplay on cosplay.com? That's the first time that's happened in like two years.

I am in one of those absolutely twitchy, can't settle on doing one thing kinda moods. I want to draw but get distracted. I want to play a game but I can't concentrate. I can't settle my ass down >:|

Also i hacked my hair off.

I'm in a 50/50 mood because of my school day.
So, today I was talking about losing weight. One of my friends told my other friend to tell me I'm not fat. This is what happened:
"You're not fat..." *I get in a little better of a mood* "...You're just...bigger than most of the people here."
...Awesome job, my friend. >~>
Then I went to P.E., and my coach from last semester told me how well I was doing since I was in his class. Motivation!
...Then we had Art. Just drew. I have a Hetalia-themed room for our project on one-point perspective. :bigtu:
...Then a test for the whole period in Science. =_=
Then we made bracelets in Social Studies to learn about production.
Theeen we had a talk with the principal after lunch (all girls) about dressing appropriately through puberty. Awkward conversation.
Then we had a silent period spent working in Language Arts because idiots wouldn't shut up when we had a sub. >_>
Then we had Math. It was easy. So I drew Bel (Reborn!) and apparently, according to the guy that sits next to me, Bel is a princess named Claire who likes his cowboy-wrestler thing that he drew. Cooooool. >_<
Had to finish an essay for homework. School is very boring.

Worked all day, came home, worked on resume , worked on referances, then called some people about an interview. Now my gf won't STOP talking about work, and is telling me to stop "pretending" to not care about work. I'm not pretending, I just don't want to think of work for the next fucking six hours. But no, no that's not okay for some damn reason.

Not in a good area to do that at night @__@

and no shaving. Just cutting it shorter. Got some layers. I don't look like a 15 year old school girl now. HOORAH. I don't remember the last time I had layers.
