My question is about the "scarf" like thing around the neck. I was planning on drafting my own pattern for it,sewing it together and then attaching it to the dress I'm going to wear. I want to stuff it so it will have a more "full" look to it. My question is how much more should I add to the pattern so it will look as thick as it does in the picture?

I would play around myself to figure it out but I'm on a time crunch and don't have time for that. Thanks in advance. ^_^

Well, it depends what fabric you are using. It looks like fur. And it depends how plush of fur you use.

When you go to buy the fabric, or if you have the fabric, just wad it up until it looks like the right fullness. If someone gives you a number and its wrong, there's the risk of being cranky.

I agree that it depends on what fabric you're using. with some long pile faux fur the chest ruff could look full enough on it's own. Or you may need to stuff the piece with some batting. Sounds like a cool cosplay. :)
